Update on the doc: I just got the okay from a band I've been a fan of for a long time to use their music in it. I reached out just to give them an idea of what I was up to and their keyboardist is into it. He even wants to see it when I'm done.

I don't want to give away who it is yet since I'm so early in the process. I was just SO EXCITED about the yes, I had to say something. Closed mouths don't get fed! Sometimes all you gotta do is ask!

I recorded this two weeks ago and it's already outdated!
My gear has been updated!! I also forgot to talk about my drone and a few other things. I'll get around to that!!

Phase one is complete. Scripting is finished!!!

Phase two will be figuring out what cinematic elements I'm going to use to tell this story.

Phase three will be filming a few of you to flesh things out.

Phase four will be filming my own parts.

Phase five will be soundtracking.

Phase six will be sound design.

Phase seven will be color grading (Ugh, this is gonna be a nightmare).

I don't know how long it'll take me to execute all this, but I am STOKED for y'all to see the final product when it's finally done.

One of my great honors this year was to attend the wedding (as a guest) of one my childhood buddies. I call him my lynchpin for a few reasons.

I. I was SUPER introverted as a kid. He was always very accepting of me and my weird quirks from the very beginning.

II. He introduced me to other people that would be pivotal for some HUGE moments in my life.

III. As much as we both have grown and changed, our relationship remains the same. No matter the time, distance, or any other life circumstance, you're looking at what one of the best friends I have ever had. Living across the country from one another, we can go long periods without talking or seeing each other and the brotherhood remains the same.

Remember who rocked with you when you had nothing, y'all. Ain't no loyalty like that.

There are a lot of things I've never shared publicly about the huge change in me that happened on January 20th, 2013. I went from getting super drunk every single day to not drinking at all for a few months to being a casual drinker. That change was jarring for the people around me at the time.

I've never shared in full what actually happened, so I'm working on a documentary about it right now. I've been writing and refining a script all day long. This is rapidly turning into something much bigger than I thought it would be so I'm going all out on it.

I'm going to include words from people that were around before and after that day (and probably those that came around early in my walk too) to add some depth to this story.

I already reached out to someone I can't tell my story without. Another close buddy of mine just happened reach out for the first time in a long while and he's going to help me with it too. If any of you were around at that time and would be open to sharing, I'd love to chat about what that would look like!

In case I suddenly pass away, this is for my daughter.

I regularly see a lot of grief in my timeline. Life changes really quickly when people move on to the next life, especially when it's unexpected. It doesn't matter how young or old you are, when it's your time it's just your time...and not a single one of us knows when that is.

So... Right after I recorded something for my son, I recorded this for my daughter.

Nola, I want you to know, hear and feel my love for you. You really are a dream come true for me. I cannot stand the thought of being seperated from you while you are still young. As much as it wrecks me, just know that there is better to come and I will die with my faith in Jesus and that.

Isaac, I want you to know, hear and feel my love for you. Forgive me for not straightening up my studio and making a pretty background. Maybe I'll rerecord this one day. Maybe I'll make it fancy in the future with high production value. If I don't get that chance, you have this to remember me by.

For the second time in my career, someone has unexpectedly passed away. His mother (an industry friend) reached out to me and asked if she could have the ceremony that he officiated. I never delete ANYTHING that I document for this reason, so I was able to help the family out.

If you have a camera and you know how to use it, you're doing something that has a value that's immeasurable. Handle that responsibility with care.
