Wow, what a day! Yesterday, we held the first South Coast Events Live Conference at the beautiful Queens Hotel and Spa, and what a day it was.

It was fantastic to see so many talented people from the events scene come together for an incredible day of learning and networking! We had some amazing and important conversations throughout the day about the events industry!

It's always inspiring to connect with people who share the same passion and vision as you do. From discussing new trends, laws and innovations to sharing experiences, We learnt so much and came away feeling energized and excited for what's to come!

📣 SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT - ERIC STUART 📣
We are delighted to announce another of our guest speakers, for our first-ever in-person conference, SCEF LIVE! Eric Stuart has a wealth of knowledge in crowd safety, which he will be sharing on the day.

Eric was involved in the crowd planning for Operation London Bridge, HM The Queen's funeral plans for over ten years. He was a witness at the Manchester Arena Inquiry, and author of three aspects of the Baroness Casey Review into the Wembley Euro 2020 Finals disorder.

He was the author of the 2019 safety review for the Toronto Raptors Victory Parade reporting to The City of Toronto for the findings and recommendations.

Eric is a Crowd Safety Manager for events ranging from summer festivals and concerts through to Edinburgh Hogmanay and is also engaged with crowd management at many complex 'crowded space' environments including large shopping centres and religious gatherings across the US, Canada, Europe and the UK. The largest of these include the 800,000 Vaisakhi Parade in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

He holds a FdA and BA in Crowd Safety Management and was the co-author of the 2015 UK Good Practice Guide to working in Safety Advisory Groups. He also supported the UK Government Cabinet Office 'EPC' in its rewrite and re-launch in 2023 and is currently engaged in preparing and publishing the third iteration.

Eric has been involved in Crowd Safety for 22 years and was the police planning lead for Notting Hill Carnival 1.1 million, London New Year's Eve of 450k and the 70-day London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, viewed by an estimated 14 million people. He was awarded the Queens Police Medal for dedication to duty, leadership and professionalism during his 33 years of service.

He delivers Crowd Safety Management training in the UK, Europe, the USA and Canada and Safety Advisory Group Training to multi-agency groups across the UK and is developing the concept in the US and Europe.
