Charlotte!!! The Silhouette Artist is returning to Festival in the Park, at Freedom Park this weekend (September 20-22)!

For those who don’t know me, I have worked as a silhouette artist for 35 years. My job is my passion, and my passion is to make beautiful art. Silhouette art is the process of cutting paper using scissors to reveal a beautiful image. I love being able to bring to life people (and pets) out of paper.

Bring the whole family to get their silhouette made! Especially the kids. Even if you can’t bring everyone, I can make them from photographs as well (right side profile).

Silhouette Artist, Igor Nasibyan will be appearing this weekend at the 46th Annual Cain Park Arts Festival in Cleveland Heights, Ohio! Be sure to bring the kids and grandkids along to have beautiful silhouettes of the whole family made! It's a lot of fun and it only takes a few minutes. This is a rare and historical form of art that makes a WONDERFUL GIFT!!!

The silhouettes are cut completely freehand using scissors!

Igor's style is highly detailed and includes intricate inner cuts to show details within the hair, as well as the clothing, and accessories that the person is wearing.

The silhouettes come matted and are $75 per person. A second copy of the same person is $25, third and fourth copies are $10. If for any reason you are not satisfied, there is no obligation to purchase although we're certain you will love your silhouettes!

The show hours are 3-8 on Friday, 10-8 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, so if anyone is interested in getting silhouettes done as a gift for Mother’s Day, email right-side profile photographs to [email protected]. Igor will send you a picture of the completed cut to see if you like it (with no obligation to purchase!)

Tips on sending pictures:

1. For people with long hair, a ponytail comes out nicer than hair down (because the back of neck is visible).
2. For people with very short hair, consider wearing a hat— hats look good in silhouettes.
3. No need to smile for the pictures— just stand straight and relax!
4. Be sure to photograph the RIGHT-side profile, and try a few different angles.
5. Wear a collared shirt (tshirts lack detail)
6. Be creative! Necklaces, jewelry, bows, all make great details.
