Today we honor the life & legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who was murdered for his non-violent activism. Dr. King not only led the fight for Black Americans but in doing so helped open doors for immigrant families like mine. He was an activist, a philosopher, an amazing orator and spoke truth without fear of the violent recourse he faced regularly. He is also the only non-President with a federal holiday named after him! We are thankful for the groundwork he laid for the privileges we enjoy today. Thank you Dr. King 👑💪 -CNKC
