Welcome to See The Season!
We are excited to share this list of decorated homes, neighborhoods and businesses with you. The list (and scavenger hunt) are posted here as 4 images, or you may download a .pdf file here: www. pokesalatfestival.com/seetheseason.pdf
While we did have some people message us and say they had decorated and wanted to be included, for the most part we drove all over town looking for decorated homes and businesses. Please understand that there is no way to include every single home that has lights up, because it would encompass nearly every road in town. That’s 120 miles of roads. And on the evening we went out, some people may not have had their lights on. Closer to Christmas you have a higher chance of seeing everything.
Follow these directions and if you keep your eyes open, you’ll likely see side streets and roads with more decorations. The list starts on the east side of Hwy 231, south of town, and moves north in a winding trail. At one point it will take you onto 12th Ave NW and the trail moves south on the west side of Hwy 231.
Throughout the City there is a variety of huge displays, whole neighborhoods decorated, roads with several displays but not necessarily grouped together, light shows, inflatables, or something extra. We are going to mark BIG decorations with an asterisk.
In addition to the See The Season list, make sure you stop by Arab City Park and walk the walking trails to see the amazing display put up by Arab Park and Rec and the City.
Play some holiday music while driving around and enjoy the night.
For fun we’ve added a Christmas Decoration Scavenger Hunt! There are two ways to play this game. Everyone in the car looks together and see who can find an item first. Or, print out a list for each person and see who can complete their list first.
The most important part – have fun. Make memories.
Merry Christmas from Growing Wild Events
PS: We know that an actual marked map would be easier, but have tried to include all the “turn here and there” that you’ll need to see as much of the City’s decorations as possible. Since this is not exact GPS addresses, but more full streets and neighborhoods, this is how we worked out getting the information to you for now. We are working on having a map system before next year and will do our best to bring that to fruition.
