UTChinese New Year Concert New Year Concert is a charity concert, held by UTChinese Network, for all who want to celebrate culture and love.
(4)

By bringing together musicians of various cultural backgrounds across the globe, New Year Concert aims to tune music into language that would break cultural barriers and allow everyone to empathise and better communicate with each other. Over the past 11 years, UTChinese Network has raised $64,281 to help hundreds of children with their health and education by donating to United Nations Children's

Fund (UNICEF) and Watsi (a newly founded non-profit healthcare platform). Throughout the past decade, a diverse group of loving and passionate musicians have joined us to light up the New Years. These brilliant individuals or groups include Nandor Farkas, a decorated, honorary life member of Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra, Aaron Chow, a first-place winner of the 2012 Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, and SYCA, a group of brilliant Syrian immigrant musicians who wanted to share their heritage and love through music. Some of our special guests include Dr Stefania Szabo, Hungarian Consul General in Toronto and David Zimmer, MPP, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs.
