We had the wedding of our dreams at and our day was captured by the amazing !

As a wedding planner, I truly could not have asked for more from the Events Team at The James Museum. Excellent communication, an adaptable and skilled team, and a true passion for what they do!

From the moment we stepped into this venue, we knew it was the one. In the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg and within walking distance of multiple hotels, The James Museum is accessible and boasts a gorgeous space for any size wedding. With options that can accommodate up to 400 people, you can't go wrong here!

The most stressful parts of wedding planning are the ones you can't control... like your skin! No matter how hard you try, a pesky blemish can pop up anywhere and any time.

Ensuring you wear SPF to protect your skin from harmful rays, drinking plenty of water, sleeping, and having a personalized routine specific to your needs in the months leading up to your big day can help immensely!

Who arranges the centerpieces and table settings for the reception? Where should the families go for formal photos and when? Who will make sure all your vendors are paid and tipped at the end of the night?

Maybe these aren't questions you thought of right off the bat when your venue offered you their venue coordinator services. A day of coordinator handles all the above and more. The venue coordinator coordinates their staff and makes sure everything the venue provides is there. If you have a coordinator that comes with the venue, make sure you ask if they are a venue coordinator, event coordinator, or day of coordinator!

Don't forget - the venue coordinator's contract is with the venue, not the couple, so they can change jobs any time they want... taking everything they know about your wedding with them!

Wedding dress shopping is often one of the most exciting but stressful experiences for a bride! Keep these tips in mind so you don't get overwhelmed when you go shopping.

1. Carefully choose your dress budget and account for alterations. When dress shopping, be honest about your budget and make sure your stylist and you only pull dresses that fit in the price range. This way you won't be tempted to buy a dress out of budget!

2. As fun as having all your friends and family together sounds, the bridal boutique is not the place to bring a ton of people with opinions. You'll be much more comfortable with 1-2 close and trusted friends or family members, and this will limit the amount of differing ideas!

3. After your venue and coordinator, your dress should be the next purchase. Some dresses take up to a year to be made, and you want to save time for alterations too!

4. The rumors are true... many bridal gowns have sizing that vastly differs from "street sizing" or the size you're used to. Don't be fazed by the size of the dress, and focus on how the dress fits instead!

Meet the coordinator:

Hi! I am a Jacksonville-based wedding coordinator with years of experience in fundraising and social event planning, who is just getting her start in the wedding world!

I have assisted in coordinating weddings but have had the most experience in planning my own wedding this year (where are my August 2023 brides at?).

Event planning has been a part of my career for over 5 years and on my list of passions for over a decade. I can't wait to help my brides and grooms plan the wedding of their dreams!

Fun facts:
- I am a double gator! Class of 2018 and Class of 2021.
- I ADORE unique wedding venues and venues with activities. I am getting married in a museum in St. Pete!
- My favorite people in the world are my fiancé and my two nephews.
- I'm a huge fan of the the Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- My favorite hobbies are party planning, skiing, and reviewing new restaurants on Yelp!
