2019 Summer Camps Schedule Descriptions

Camps held at St. John Vianney 12600 84th Ave NE Kirkland WA 98034AND A 2ND LOCATION TBA “TO BE ANNOUNCED”

Main Stage ………………for kids entering grades 4-7 $215 ($225 after April 30th)

Big shows for big kids! Young actors will learn the actor’s tools (mind, body & voice), develop their performance skills and confidence, rehearse lines, blocking & cues! Learn character development, strengthen ensemble work and play fun theatre games! The performance will be on the last day!

The Mummy's Curse- July 29-Aug. 2nd 9am-2pm (St. John Vianney Kirkland)

The Mummy’s Curse is an original comedy, action, adventure show! The plot is propelled by a search for Egyptian treasure, thwarted by the mummy’s curse and inspired by Abbott & Costello physical antics. Intriguing classic characters such as a professor of archaeology and his hapless assistants, a high priestess & ancient Egyptians, the villain and her henchmen, the Mummy and more! Sign up today for a grand performance in ancient times!

The Mystery of Pepperidge Farm Manor- Aug 19-23 9am-2pm (TBA)

Sally Holmes and Dr. Watson join other guests at the Pepperidge Farm manor for what appears to be an innocent afternoon but before long everyone is a suspect of a cookie crumbling crime! Who dun it? Was it Miss Biscotti the famous star? Miss Snickerdoodle the nosy reporter? One of the cops? Or one of the others? Sign up for a mysteriously good time and find out!

Stage Coach ………………for kids entering grades 1-3 $180 ($190 after April 30th)

The next stop in theatrical adventure: campers will be introduced to the script, learn acting techniques, stage directions & how to build a character! They will play theatre games, memorize lines, work on projection, movement, teamwork and have a fabulous time! On the last day they will present their show!

Rapunzel & the Prince - July 15-19 9am-1pm (St. John Vianney Kirkland)

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!” cries the wicked old hag to the fair young maid who is locked in the high away tower. Things look pretty hairy for Rapunzel in the heart of a vegetable garden both magic & wild. Who is the girl? Why are people combing the land for her? Will the hag get the brush off? Find the answers to these & more “hair raising” questions in A.C.T.’s own fanciful & funny “French Twist” on the classic tale.

Beginning Stages ………………for AGES 4-6 $165 ( $175 after April 30th)

Little camps for little people! Campers will have a blast during these one-week THEMED camps exploring the worlds of art, movement, music and dramatic play! Students will pick their own characters, dress up, learn acting skills, share ideas, express themselves, make new friends & work together to create their own show! On the last day they will present their show!!
