About THE MONSTER SHOW:
The MONSTER SHOW, founded by the beloved Cookie Dough and DJ MC2, continues every Thursday at the Edge Bar and every 3rd Saturday at Bo**ie (DNA Lounge) with hostesses Sue Casa, Sugah Betes; and cofounder DJ MC2 on the decks. A mix of punk rock aesthetics, pop music, and musical theater madness, the award winning show and club party is a true staple of San Francisco, running for 17 years.

I was visiting a friend today, who was also a DJ, and mentioned in conversation that the one disco single the would make my vinyl collection complete is the DJ promo spiral print vinyl of Chic’a classic Le Freak. Said I’d been hunting for it for years, and he gave me a copy from his collection. The kid in me is very happy.

What a fun week. Thanks for dancing to EVERYTHING last night.
There is so much good dance music out there. Every year Club music seems to keep getting better and better. And, I sure love spinning in SF with my residencies at Oasis, DNA Lounge, and The Edge where I can program everything from commercial top 40 dance and hip hop to the gayest classic anthems to the most underground electro and house.
Since I throw down a handful of classic anthems into my sets every week, I decided to include the classic hit that got the biggest hands-in-the-air Saturday night dance floor response in my list as well.
