In the Farm and Home Building, Thursday August 24, 2023.

What a treat for this evening. We are pleased to welcome the Johnson City Schools Bluegrass Club to the stage of the Farm and Home Building. The group will be performing beginning at 7:00 p.m. Come out and enjoy some great bluegrass music and support these young musicians.

Stivers Homestead

On August 24–26, 2023, the 97th Edition of the Appalachian Fair is proud to present our partners in agricultural: The Stivers Homestead (Zac and Jenn Stivers), Hidden Oaks Homestead (Nicole and Chip Hughes), Fermented Homestead (Anna Hill) and Bits & Pieces (Risha Allen).

Each group has a real life insight into the homesteading culture. They will be sharing their best practices approach to daily life in the homestead.

On Thursday and Friday, be sure to stop by the Farm and Home Building and meet these wonderful people and listen in on their journeys.

On Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m., the entire group will give a short welcome and hello. Then beginning at 11:00, 1:00 and 2:00 each group will individually do a homesteading presentation.

Have a safe and enjoyable experience at the Appalachian Fair.

Today is OPENING DAY of the 97th Appalachian Fair! Our buildings will open at 3pm. Zach Williams is on the Main Stage, Fairest of the Fair pageant on the Museum Stage, and Tuff Trucks in the Arena at 7pm.
