Drawing on influences of Funk, Latin, Soul and Jazz, Nasser Bouzida (also front man of cult Hammond heroes Big Boss Man) blends elements of grinding percussion and heavy bongo rhythms. Our hero - along with his explosive 4-piece ensemble - is armed with a bank of vintage synthesisers and a legion of heavy grooves in a wildly eclectic fusion of Funk, Soul, B-Boy Breaks, Jazz and Sci-Fi Boogaloo!

DJ Eops, AKA Eamon, AKA specialises in Funk, Soul & especially Disco. Mixing up a variety of styles from his extensive record collection that includes; Reggae, Ska, Afrobeat, Soul/Northern, 60s funk/RnB, Rock n Roll, P-Funk, Latin, Golden Age Hip-Hop, Jazz, Alt/Indie. & 80s Pop, this is one selector guaranteed to find the ultimate solution to the puzzle of where to find yourself on Sat 8th June!

Black Wax Solution hosts a radio show on Acid Jazz’s ‘Totally Wired Radio’ and a music podcast called ‘What Goes Around’ with 6Music’s Deb Grant. An established DJ in London for the last 8 years and moving to Bristol last year, he’s making his mark on Bristol’s funk scene with a residency at The Phoenix called ‘We Climb Disco Mountain’ and regular sets at The Plough and The Lansdown.

🎺 Sat 10th Feb marks the triumphant return of Voodoo Brass Band to LNFC! This 9-piece brass beast spiced up the Lanes dancefloor with full powered mariachi mayhem and more last time at LNFC, as captured in one of many viral IG videos reaching nearly 60k plays!

🤩 Comprising of 9 London’s top young brass players, the band has seen it’s reputation go from strength to strength following sell-out shows across London, including performances at venues such as Hootananny Brixton, Pizza Express Soho and Matchstick Piehouse.

🧏‍♂️ Their repertoire includes inspired arrangements of pop, rock and New Orleans second line songs, as well as original material that draws on a wide range of influences, reaching from London based jazz-fusion bands such as Ezra Collective to American brass bands such as The Soul Rebels and Youngblood Brass Band.

Houston… Muttnik has landed! This high energy, London based Cosmic Funk trio crash down to earth on Sat 11th Nov to give us Late Night Funk Cats the fright of our funkin' lives!

With a blended mixture of Funk, Jazz, Soul and Disco influences, Muttnik create a unique, chest hitting sound that is guaranteed to get you up and moving.

The solid, grooving pulse of the drums mixed with crazy, cosmic like sounds from the keyboards, fused with burning, outlandish sax lines will leave you wondering how just 3 people can make such a large sound. Muttnik is truly a band that is out of this world!

This Cardiff based beat juggler & record manipulator has established himself as one of the most sought after funk DJs in the Welsh capital.

Having contributed deliciously zestful sets that combine scratching, plenty of funk breaks and old skool hip hop to some of Wales’ hottest nights such as Hully Gully, Blue Honey and Sure Shot - as well as being the percussionist for Cardiff based afro funk/hip hop group: Afro Cluster - we can’t wait for Veto to bring the heat over to Bristol for all you Late Night Funk Cats!
