UPDATE:
Good news! The right person has been contacted to help move things along within the insurance system. Demolition will be happening soon!

It has been more than a month since the tornado took out our building and caused so much devastation and damage to the community we love and support.

So many people and businesses showed up to provide support and offer services to help with cleanup and we cannot thank them enough. Unfortunately there wasn’t much we could do, because our insurance hadn’t made a decision on if our buildings were a total loss and we could proceed with tear down and rebuilding. An insurance adjuster was quick to arrive, within a week of the tornado, however we were told they couldn’t make the final decision on a complete tear down.

41 days since that tornado and here we are, still waiting on insurance. Our building partially still standing (although worse now) and we are still at a standstill on clean up, complete tear down, and rebuilding until we get written approval and final report from the insurance company.

All POSSIBLE help from FEMA, the SBA, and other grant opportunities cannot be processed or provided until we have the final word from insurance.

We fully intend to rebuild The Minden Community Club to provide our community a place to hold those special events. We will rebuild. We will continue to be The Minden Community Club.

We also are working closely with The Minden Little League on cleanup and rebuilding.

The Minden Community Club and the Little League field are staples in our community and we will be back better and stronger.
