Getting married is a big undertaking and planning the wedding to kick that off can be incredibly overwhelming for many. But planning a full wedding from out of town with only 4 months to find vendors and lock down all details...madness, y'all! When we weren't chatting on video, Ali and her family were flying in almost monthly for tastings, rental showroom visits, and long planning sessions so we could work out all the details of this stunning hill country wedding with the time we had. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know all about this wonderful couple and the families they were joining together. And y'all, this earthy color palette was SO stunning. I will forever be a fan of toffee roses and pampas grass.

What a beautiful chilly couple of days we have had this week! I personally love the cold and as I was bundling up my daughter and myself for our early morning walk to school, I thought of this stunning December wedding from last year. The furs the bride and her bridesmaids wore were such a lovely touch to their wintery wedding day out in the Texas wine country.

Texas can be very unpredictable in it's weather so as we're entering the "sometimes" cold season...it's a great idea to be prepared to add patio heaters to your floor plan, cozy and elegant wrappings for bridesmaids, or even a cold weather plan should we just need to move everything inside!

Wedding planning can be really overwhelming. There are so many different vendors to book, decisions to make, and different elements of your big day that are not always obvious. When these two came to me about 5 weeks from their wedding day, we had a lot to still do. Oh but y'all, it came together SO beautifully! We found the photographer, found the florist, designed the reception look and booked the rentals, and made it happen!

I'm very thankful I had the opportunity to join in the final stretch. It was SUCH a pleasure getting to know these two and seeing the love they clearly have for one another just radiate off them all day. 🥰

How STUNNING is this bride's dress? More amazing, the skirt of the dress came from her grandmother's wedding dress that she wore back in 1942. The bride had the lace top custom designed to add her own touch to it. So gorgeous! 😍 For many of brides, I try not to learn too, too much about their dresses as I, too, enjoy a casual first look before the ceremony. Ah! This dress and looking back on their happy day makes me excited for the Spring season to officially kick off later this month.

There are SO many wonderful traditions that couples take part in or even begin on their wedding day. These two began a wonderful tradition of an anniversary wine box. During the reception, the officiant, Scott Payne, explained the wonderful journey the box was going to go on with the newlyweds. During the wine ceremony, the couple placed a special bottle of wine and a love note to one another to be read on their first anniversary in the box. The box was then locked, not to be opened till they reached one year 🥂

The tradition can then be repeated every year, every 5 years, etc. You can include a bottle of wine or maybe you prefer an aged whiskey? The choices are really up to what is preferred by the couple! I love it!

Stop #2 on the wedding crawl with this beautiful couple! Cocktail hour on a nearby rooftop bar with a fabulous wardrobe change by the bride 😍 Having such an intimate wedding like this allowed for a great group shot of all guests during cocktail hour. LOVE IT!

Ya'll! 😍😍 I just got the photos back from one of my favorite weddings last year and I cannot stop smiling! This wedding was so different and such a blast to be a part of. The couple wanted an intimate day and to share some of their favorite places with the ones they loved...so we had the entire wedding move from the beautiful church ceremony, to a chic rooftop bar for cocktail hour, and finally to the couple's favorite restaurant for a private dinner, some games, and sweet music played by a friend. I will be posting so many of these photos over the next week so you can all share in the joy radiating from this couple! Ahh I cannot wait to get back to sending y'all all down the aisle!
