Don’t get me wrong, I love the wedding industry. But one thing I reeeeally don’t love is the emphasis on ditching everything the day after the wedding.
In a world where resources are scarce, and the environment is impacted by a fast-fashion Temu-throwaway led society, I think it’s really important to consider how we can be more mindful whilst preparing for the big day.
I’m not saying get married in a bin bag, but there are lots of little things we can do to have the best day, whilst being more mindful.
And one of those things is the wedding veil.
I recently spoke to magazine about heirloom veils, something I’m really passionate about - creating timeless pieces of the finest quality that can be handed down for generations to come, and restoring existing veils that have already been passed down.
Reviving something with such sentimental value, so it can last another hundred years, is something I feel truly honoured to be entrusted to do.
Love,
Sophie
