So you've decided to do a first look. Awesome!

One of the essential pieces of advice we give is to do your first look without your Bridal party. Yes, even your family. If you hired an awesome video team they will see and hear the entire thing later on and witness the raw emotion.

I'm editing a film now where this particular couple decided to have everyone near by. The special moment is interrupted by Groomsmen yelling out and distracting the Bride as she walks to the Groom. Once he turns around they are completely uncomfortable because of their audience. The only sound bites I get are "this is so weird." "What do we do now?" among their head turns towards whoever is talking to them during this special moment.
