Why does it burn me up so much when someone posts ON A SOCIAL GROUP as an “anonymous participant” (no matter the question). I heard some reasons/excuses to why someone would do it… being extremely wealthy, hiding from a past life, cheating on a spouse, death threats…. Whatever the case may be…. Why does it bother me so much?!? My thought process is that ‘you’re on social media, you aren’t fooling/hiding from anyone. You’re asking about things that you need to be around the public (not to mention a traceable IP address). Haven’t you seen ANY spy/stalker movies?!?’. Anyways, I’ll NEVER give ANY recommendations to ANYONE THE POSTS ANONYMOUSLY for date night, who’s got the best bbq plate lunch, best menu options for a group of people wanting to play kanasta, best place on a Tuesday to get tacos or my own personal business of providing services that bring the restaurant experience to your special celebration or event. Some of these questions, for us REAL foodservice industry fans, don’t deserve answers to someone who doesn’t want anyone to know who they are. Word travels fast in our industry. If you aren’t a good guest, we don’t need to know your name… trust me, we find out who you are. Just as easily the public is to speak out/post on a publicly used forum reviewing an establishment or its service, our industry talks too. Anonymity doesn’t protect you from society. I’m taking a risk in voicing my opinion on a group (groups) that theoretically could hurt my business/company …. Or it could propel me to success because then I’ll always work for people who truly understand ALL aspects of the service industry. I proudly mark my company Got A Guy Hospitality Services with this post.

A Brief Got A Guy History...

Long story...kinda shortened:

I started cooking at a young age, out of necessity. It wasn’t until I worked in a restaurant that had a REAL chef working in the kitchen that I developed the passionate and artistic side of cooking. I helped him do a couple culinary competitions around the state and got an itch to compete myself. I didn’t win, but I got a chance to see what it was like to be recognized for making fantastic food. I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve since then assisted in many culinary events and charity fundraising auctions. When I did my first ‘for hire’ private dinner with one of my best friends, we started playing with concept ideas. Wasn’t until recently (the last 2 years or so) I decided to try and make this a business for myself. I pride myself in making great food, affordably. Also, I’m the guy most of my out of town friends like to ask “where should we eat?” or “where can i get ___?” Through Got A Guy, clients get a multitude of services, anything involving food and drink. F&B Concierge, Menu Consulting, Cost Analysis, Staffing Events (FOH/BOH), In Home Meal Prep, House/Office Parties etc....the list could go on and on. With an idea or theme for your next food needed event, let Got A Guy help plan the menu, do the cooking, and serve you and your guests.
