Crooked Ways Festival CROOKED WAYS For years Pontefract has only had its races to celebrate, but now there is Crooked Ways. Named in homage to the 1912 book by local author J.S.

Brought to life by friends with a passion for live music and the local area, Crooked Ways aims to bring the best live music and entertainment to Pontefract. CW 2013 will be held on Saturday 1st June in Pontefract Park. Crooked Ways is an independent festival bringing together a diverse range of artists and performers set in the scenic settings of Pontefract Park. The festival only has a small capa

city so you’ll have plenty of space to lounge in, wonder around our 3 stages and watch the acts and entertainment. Fletcher, The Town of Crooked Ways, which satirises early 20th Century life in Pontefract, Crooked Ways is an event this area of West Yorkshire has ever seen. The inaugural event, held in May 2012, featured internationally acclaimed artists, up and coming acts from around the UK, as well as showcasing the best local talent. Bands such as Razorlight, Reverend & the Makers, The Sunshine Underground, The Whip, King Charles, Hyde & Beast and Chris Helme all graced the three Crooked Ways stages.
