“The English and French countryside inspired Natalie
and Aaron’s wedding day. “I am really into interior design and particularly drawn to French interiors with all their layers of fabric, florals, stripes, and 18th-century antiques and embroideries,” Natalie says. “We got the best of both worlds in that our ceremony was at Yew Dell with its quintessential English-garden look and our reception was down the road at 3rd Turn, with its laid-back-greenhouse feel. I wanted everything to feel personal and authentic with no cliché wedding decorations.” The variety of wedding details directly reflected Natalie and Aaron’s personality as a couple. “My sister and I hand-painted every charger plate, I collected every goblet, gold candlestick, and hurricane vase, and she hand-painted the co****le boards to beautiful perfection. I personalized every es**rt card and customized it to the guest’s personality or interest. Guests adored our table numbers which were hand-painted portraits of all our family pets from childhood to now. We had wood folding fans for guests at our ceremony, various unique flavors of Hive and Barrel meads sitting out at every dinner table at the reception for guests to try, and we provided yard games. My favorite decoration, however, was the flowers.”
