🌲 Grace + Perry 🌲

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. Our final wedding recap of the year. One of our favorite things is to post some moments from a wedding day with a few tidbits about the couple and their day. It’s always a reminder that every single wedding is so special and unique. It’s never lost that this is a one shot deal, no do overs, no “we’ll do that better next time” it’s your championship game every single time.

Grace and Perry are the best kind of people, kind, funny, personable, real, and so dang in love - with each other and those around them.

This day was sprinkled with holiday magic all around - a zillion (I counted) twinkling lights adorned with garland hung from the ceiling, a best friend florist literally dripped floral goodness over the dance floor, warm heaters, a historic church, Tennessee delivered saison, and the most fun dance party we’ve seen in a while!

Ending the year with two weddings (one for Amb and one for Carl) felt so right. Working your b***y off for people you’ve grown to love and admire, it NEVER gets old. 🥰

🤠 Amber + Casey 🤠

Cola met Florence in this sweet and emotion filled day. The groom and father of the bride didn’t see her until the start of the ceremony and it was worth the wait!

Their dog KJ came along as flower dog and also to celebrate dad’s birthday. Yep, Casey turned 30 and tied the knot all in the same 24 hours! A wedding reception birthday song is a good one.

The night ended with both in cowboy hats (weirdly so did our other wedding this same night! Ha!) and a perfect sparkler send off. Congrats to the brand new Parkers. 💚❤️

🎂🎂🎂 CARILEE IS 29 today! It’s hard to put into words how becoming Carilee’s friend has changed my life both personally and professionally. She is the most patient, most hilarious, kindest, silliest, most helpful, and most loving person. She’s the perfect opposite of me (we’re honestly more like each other’s spouse than each other which I think is why we get along so well).

People ask all the time if we ever fight and truly the answer is no. There’s just no time to fight when you’re building a dream business together and raising sweet babies side by side. I LOVE YOU my Carl. I’m sorry for nicknaming you a 65 year old man’s name but you are my Carl!!!!

Happy happy happy birthday, my love. I cannot wait for the rest of time with my crew + you, Mike, Marlee, Mia and anyone else the world brings us. Thank you for being all the things to me!

Time flies when you get to do life AND work with your bestie. The fact that this was almost a year ago is unreal. Also the fact that this was as high as Carilee could jump is also unreal.

Watson / Matulis babies crossed the 6 month mark and aren’t such babies anymore! Weddings keep on rolling and dare I say, we’re stronger and better than ever. Personally and professionally.

Where the cotton grows, we said I do.
260 + me and you.

Mama’s touch on daddy’s land,
made this childhood home into something grand.

Flowers and linens and a band named Punch,
if you need amazing food you best call Buzzy Bunch.

When the venue’s a home, the love overflows,
when the venue’s a home, the history really shows.

Four kids and a life, all built from the ground,
but on this day singing, laughter, and wedding bells sound.

November 9th, we made this place a glow,
from beginning to end, it was quite a dang show.

Now every time we step foot on this land,
the meaning of home is even more grand.

A speech from Mark, where we know “he is good”
and a toast from the baby, they cried and laughed like they should.

The Owens family is a brand new crew,
All because two love birds just said I do.

Sometimes you just need a poem. I’ll never be over the fact that WE got to be a small part of this family for a year. xoxoxo to the entire Owens/Smith fam.

🖤 Laura + Joe 🖤

Travel down to the low country with us for a weekend under the stars. This tent free wedding (that’s right, the weather gods love us and we somehow got two no tent weddings back to back) for the Kellmans was swoon worthy on so many levels.

From the intimate plated dinner to the authentic shipped from NY cannolis, guests dined al fresco on gorgeous linens and china before dancing the night away. Speaking of the guests? This wedding party was top tier. The friendliest and best listening gang around. We instantly felt like friends.

Love you L and J and thank you for inviting us to be a part.

Obviously we adore the wedding planning aspect of our jobs, but the relationships are seriously where it’s at.

Lately we’ve run into former couples at the Peanut Boil, parents of clients at Walgreens (ha, pictured here. Hi Christy and Brad!) and at the State Fair. It’s so nice to hug their necks and catch up on life. 🤗

Sometimes we’re wedding planners to engaged couples that aren’t our clients. What?! Yep. When people need help, we just help. I got a text from my dad saying a friend of a friend had no rain plan for this weekend. (FYI a tropical storm is coming in hot - kinda like these tiny ring bearers entered this ceremony, hahaha - speedy and without a lot of warning. 😂😜)

Don’t worry, I’ll chat through all the best options with this not yet friend and they’ll get married on Saturday, rain or shine. ☔️☀️

💐 Caroline + Zach 💐

Nothing like kicking off our fall wedding season with a wedding like this. Stacked vendor team, the dreamiest of clients, and weather like “hey we’re having a hurricane, jk we’re not it’s going to be gorgeous out” 😛

Caroline and Zach had a vision and this team executed it - COLOR was the vibe and color we did. We got to work for the first time out at Heron Hill (can’t wait to be back for our other HH clients) and what could have been a weekend of windy rain instead was cooler temps and sunshine! A Diet Coke toast (great now I’m craving one at 9 pm) and the sweetest wedding party had us all smiles all night long. We missed weddings over our hybrid summer/maternity leave but this fall is gonna be GOOOOOOD yall. So buckle up and let’s ride. 🐂

✨We believe everyone has a super power, it’s finding what yours that can be tricky. A doctor with an amazing bedside manner? A teacher with the gentlest encouraging nudges? A baker whose cakes are not only delicious but somehow taste like actual love and joy? ✨

We feel so grateful because we think we’ve found our super power. Getting vendors to do exactly what we need them to do while making them feel appreciated and supported. Getting hundreds of guests to follow a perfected timeline while they just think they’re having the night of their lives. Getting a couple to make wedding decisions while making it seem like you’re just grabbing a coffee with a friend. (We are actually friends btw). Coordinating a massive set up and breakdown while laughing and dancing through it. Making magic happen in the middle of controlled and beautiful chaos. That’s us. ✨✨✨
