L & B 🌼

A logistically challenging wedding, but so worth it for THAT location. Utterly stunning. Perfect weather. Gorgeous couple. And I fell for Laura’s dress completely!

The guests ambled their way down the country lane from the church to be greeted with an at-home reception. The day was perfectly reflective of L & B.

Couldn’t have done it without the awesome team on board!

In March we travelled to the stunning Mount Juliet Estate in Co. Kilkenny for the incredible wedding of dear friends, Olivia and Joe. Classy, elegant and so much fun.

This wedding was proof that style and meaning can go hand in hand. A deeply personal and emotional day, but filled with style and class. Yes please!

🤍 R & B 🤍

An Irish bride. A French groom. A Yorkshire wedding.

When I say I work with the best couples, I really do mean it. R & B are the KINDEST souls. Planning their wedding with them was an utter dream. The day itself was stunning! It might have been the hottest day of the year (and I would argue the windiest in York!) but the couple and their guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the day was.

We had hot weather plans in place, from water for every guest ready on the coaches back from the ceremony, to cool packs for guests and suppliers to prevent overheating. What I struggled to plan for was the wind tearing through the marquee…but we made it work! And it did help to reduce the temperatures in the marquee a little!

An incredible and responsive supplier team helped to make this day one to remember for the gorgeous newlyweds.

We have two colourful weddings over the next couple of weeks, which has had me thinking back to this bright and colourful day last summer for A & T. It was also a hot day and our first wedding this week is set to be a scorcher!

Wedding and Events Florist | Kate did a fabulous job with the flowers and I’m so excited to be working with Kate again this week.

This week will be my first wedding back since having my baby girl and I’m looking forward to creating magic again!

I’ve slowly returned to work over the past week or so and it’s filled me with mixed emotions. A little sadness because my daughter is only 6 weeks old and the realisation that self-employment presents many challenges to working Mums, but also proud that I’ve been able to continue a business I love so much and that hopefully i will be inspiring my little girl as she grows up.

But it’s got me reflecting on the last wedding I had before my ‘maternity leave’ and how it was the best way to end the spring season. It was honestly SUCH a brilliant day and I ended on such a high. It’s got me very excited for the weddings still to come, with the first just 3 weeks away!

Life has been a little busy lately, but I’ve finally found some time to sit and post about the wonderful wedding of K&G. This was SUCH an amazing day - an incredible supplier team, perfect weather, the loveliest guests and above all, a phenomenal couple.

I worked with K&G for 18 months to plan their wedding and it was such a lovely partnership. There were so many personal details we incorporated into their day and I can’t wait to show you more of them.

But for now, just a little sprinkling of their incredible day, captured perfectly by Rosie.

Welcome to the world little one 💕

I managed one full day of maternity leave before going into labour and having my precious sweet girl a few days early on Thursday 4th June.

I will be taking time off to enjoy the newborn bubble and soaking up every cuddle I can. Thank you for your patience during this time!

Juggling self-employment with motherhood will be challenging, but there are fabulous women I know already doing it, so I’m hopeful I can too 💪

Happy May!

It’s a new month, which means it’s also the wedding month for a fabulous couple. I’m so excited for this one!
