Let’s have a moment for the girls. From the bridesmaids to the mother-of-the-bride, they stand by your side, help you get ready, support your relationship and dance the night away - they are such an important unit.

And I think these photos are proof that Kate’s tribe love her dearly! Such a fun group of girls and to be honest, the whole guest list was a joy on the day!

It doesn’t matter the number or gender, but having someone or a group of people by your side on your wedding day really is so important. You might need them more than you think.

I’m going to tell you a secret…

This floral setup is not what was planned. The pots were meant to be on staggered plinths of varying heights in front of the urns.

However, the winds that day were SO strong. I’m talking, things flying off the tables. So if the pots had been put onto plinths, they too would have blown off and potentially smashed and the flowers would be ruined.

Together with Wedding and Events Florist | Kate we had to make the decision to style them differently. And honestly? The guests were the none the wiser! They still commented on how stunning the flowers were. But more importantly, Rachel and Bart didn’t have to worry about the last minute changes happening on the day, they knew it was all being taken care of. And they still loved it all!

Sometimes your plan A can’t happen. But the plan B can be just as incredible and your guests never know any differently.

Just a little glimpse into the value having a wedding planner can bring. I take care of last minute challenges and changes, so that you don’t have to and the stress is removed.

Wow. What a day!

This was a lesson in trusting the process and your day will still be spectacular. When Alix and Ross came to me, they wanted their entire wedding outside. The ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and cocktail hour, only venturing inside for the evening party. We put all the plans in place to make that happen.

Come the wedding day, the weather gods had other ideas. What was due to be an outdoor wedding became fully indoors. But this was possible due to a Plan B and Plan C. Fortunately we managed to get the evening cocktail hour outside, allowing for an incredible cake moment and spectacular fireworks!

Burgundy, earthy pinks and shades of green were the chosen colours for the day and were so perfect for Kelmarsh Hall. I can’t wait to share more from this!

I think you can agree that the photos are stunning! Eilish - you did a bloody brilliant job.

Can’t believe it’s been a whole month since the wedding of R & B. Such a happy day for such a wonderful couple.

R & B booked me just over 12 months before their big day, which I think is an ideal planning time when working with a wedding planner. At the start of the process we met for a coffee in Leeds and ended up chatting for over 2 hours! Then it was straight into creating the budget, researching and booking suppliers and starting the design process.

When couples book me as their wedding planner, I take care of everything. All supplier searches and bookings, all correspondence with suppliers, timeline creation and management, budget creation and management, wedding design (that deserves a post all on its own!), wedding website creation…you name it, I’ll sort it. I provide an incredibly comprehensive and thorough package, making your investment totally worth it.

I do all this so that you can take comfort in the fact the logistics and stresses of wedding planning are taken away. You just need to worry about the fun stuff, like making the final decision on supplier choices, design choices and the food & drinks menu. You can be involved as much or as little as you like in the whole planning process! But communication between us will be consistent throughout.

L & B 🌼

A logistically challenging wedding, but so worth it for THAT location. Utterly stunning. Perfect weather. Gorgeous couple. And I fell for Laura’s dress completely!

The guests ambled their way down the country lane from the church to be greeted with an at-home reception. The day was perfectly reflective of L & B.

Couldn’t have done it without the awesome team on board!

In March we travelled to the stunning Mount Juliet Estate in Co. Kilkenny for the incredible wedding of dear friends, Olivia and Joe. Classy, elegant and so much fun.

This wedding was proof that style and meaning can go hand in hand. A deeply personal and emotional day, but filled with style and class. Yes please!

🤍 R & B 🤍

An Irish bride. A French groom. A Yorkshire wedding.

When I say I work with the best couples, I really do mean it. R & B are the KINDEST souls. Planning their wedding with them was an utter dream. The day itself was stunning! It might have been the hottest day of the year (and I would argue the windiest in York!) but the couple and their guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the day was.

We had hot weather plans in place, from water for every guest ready on the coaches back from the ceremony, to cool packs for guests and suppliers to prevent overheating. What I struggled to plan for was the wind tearing through the marquee…but we made it work! And it did help to reduce the temperatures in the marquee a little!

An incredible and responsive supplier team helped to make this day one to remember for the gorgeous newlyweds.

We have two colourful weddings over the next couple of weeks, which has had me thinking back to this bright and colourful day last summer for A & T. It was also a hot day and our first wedding this week is set to be a scorcher!

Wedding and Events Florist | Kate did a fabulous job with the flowers and I’m so excited to be working with Kate again this week.

This week will be my first wedding back since having my baby girl and I’m looking forward to creating magic again!

I’ve slowly returned to work over the past week or so and it’s filled me with mixed emotions. A little sadness because my daughter is only 6 weeks old and the realisation that self-employment presents many challenges to working Mums, but also proud that I’ve been able to continue a business I love so much and that hopefully i will be inspiring my little girl as she grows up.

But it’s got me reflecting on the last wedding I had before my ‘maternity leave’ and how it was the best way to end the spring season. It was honestly SUCH a brilliant day and I ended on such a high. It’s got me very excited for the weddings still to come, with the first just 3 weeks away!

Life has been a little busy lately, but I’ve finally found some time to sit and post about the wonderful wedding of K&G. This was SUCH an amazing day - an incredible supplier team, perfect weather, the loveliest guests and above all, a phenomenal couple.

I worked with K&G for 18 months to plan their wedding and it was such a lovely partnership. There were so many personal details we incorporated into their day and I can’t wait to show you more of them.

But for now, just a little sprinkling of their incredible day, captured perfectly by Rosie.
