S & C’s wedding day back in July was wonderful. But the weather was unpredictable and from 5pm it was torrential rain, with thunder and lightning later on.

Now, I’m away in Mallorca and we’ve had rain for most of the day. But just like S & C, it hasn’t bothered me because the day is what you make it.

More and more, our weather is becoming unpredictable. And honestly, it doesn’t matter for your wedding. As your planner, I ensure that there is a plan B so that you still have a wonderful day. And don’t worry about the photos, because as you can tell with this one, the cloudy sky adds drama. Some of the best wedding photos I’ve seen have been taken in rainy or cloudy conditions.

We were so lucky with the weather here, but we always have a Plan B just in case. Dream big, have a backup, and don’t let the weather ruin your day. It really doesn’t matter in the end!

Couples often say to me that they don’t want a lot of couple portraits because they don’t want to be away from their guests too long. But that moment of your day becomes so special - you’ve just got married and it’s a chance to relish in and soak up all of the love and emotion together.

💫 And just look how happy J & S look! 💫

So my advice would be, yes we will always ensure you’re not gone for ages for your couple portraits, but when you are having them soak it all in and bathe in the special moment. You just got married - celebrate together!

This was the most special weekend. Not only was I asked to be a bridesmaid, but I was also asked to help with the design and styling ✨ and .event.stationery did all the gorgeous stationery (more to share soon!)

I am so excited to be launching my new business. Officially launching in May 2024, I am already planning and styling various weddings behind the scenes and taking new bookings. Creative, innovative, personal and beautiful weddings is what Freya Croisdale Weddings is all about. I am passionate about creating luxury design-led weddings, where you as a couple are at the absolute centre of every decision made.
