Let’s hear it for the barn! This property has been a farm since the late 1700’s — the earliest type on record was a butter farm. Like many, it was partially burned down a few times. It went through many hands until Jordan’s parents bought the farm in 1983, and packed it with hay for their horses and to sell. The farm’s fields have been hayed continuously, and in 2010, when we (Jordan & Dan) got married, Dan’s dad brought over some “ambiance calves” to add to the wedding prep beauty, that eventually became our first Bliss Ridge Beef 🥩 cows. We now rotationally graze approx 25 🐮. To transition the barn from fully ag to partially ag and partially party zone, we cleared the place out, picking up each floor board and snow-shoveling out the fossilized hay dust, with the help of many friends. Clients can set up the barn in several different ways, and it is fun to see each couple’s vision come to life! We now have a dance🪩 🕺🏼 💃🏽 rug, thanks to @ family! First pic & second pic 🙌🏾
