Katelyn & Dakota Messner 7/27/24

The Saturday's wedding was another beautiful one at Poor House Farm. The weather was great for an outdoor ceremony and reception inside the barn. Great young couple starting out on their new journey together. Katelyn and Dakota were great to work with and it was a pleasure being their DJ. I have to thank their parents, Erica and Andrew Dehaven for hiring us for their daughter and new son-in-laws wedding. We were the DJ at their wedding some 12 years ago. It's always nice to do family events. Katelyn & Dakota, thank you and take care of each other. May God's love always shine upon you.

Ryker & Chelsea Jernigan 6/29/24

I knew this was going to be a good one when I first spoke to Chelsea on the phone.

Although it was hotter than you know what it was still a beautiful day down on the farm. What a beautiful setting to have a wedding ceremony and reception. You can't really have any of that without a great couple. Ryker and Chelsea were the best. Their parents were outstanding as well as their guest. From the rehearsal through the actual ceremony and reception things were popping. Speaking of popping, the first time in 27 years I have had a mishap. Although I kept very well hydrated or at least I thought so. At one point during the cocktail hour, I sat down and passed out. When I did I struck my head on the barn door and cut it and of course had blood on my shirt. They were quite a few nurses there at the wedding and they came running to my Aid. They were so sweet and kind and made sure I was okay. They had ice cold rags and ice bags. They even washed the blood out of my shirt for me. They were sweethearts. I can say that I hope that never happens again. Although it didn't dampen the spirit of the day, it was a little embarrassing for me but everybody was so kind and asked me throughout the evening if I was okay and feeling okay and thanked me for what I did. Chelsea even called me on Sunday to check on me . That was so sweet. So let's get back to the wedding. Such a beautiful ceremony performed by Tanner. He did such a wonderful job. Everything was just beautiful inside the barn and Chelsea did an outstanding job thinking of everything, even me. She has a little goodie bag with snacks and water. So cool. The first dance was beautiful but the father and daughter dance had a little extra in it at the end. Lots of fun. Chelsea's dad was the one cool dude. Even though it was hot, it started to cool down towards the later part of the reception but I didn't keep people off the dance floor. They danced the night away and there was a sparkler send off at the end. I'm so glad I had the honor of being part of this special occasion. Thank you Ryker and Chelsea for having D&M DJ Service as part of your special day. Take care and may God always shine upon your path.

Hannah & Derek Chambers June 15, 2024

Saturday's wedding was spectacular. It all started with an incredibly beautiful day down by the lake at the Cacapon State Park. Shaded by beautiful trees and a cool breeze made for a great day. A beautiful intimate ceremony to kick things off. Lots and lots of beautiful flowers adorned the area. Then it was off to the bath house for the reception. Hannah and Derek were just an incredible couple that we were so pleased to work with. They invited some of their best friends and family to share in all the excitement. They were wonderful people and enjoy themselves so much as did I. The groom's father even had Dee out on a dance floor. Both sets of parents were just great. Cacapon park staff did a great job with the food. The bartenders, Amanda & Charles were so pleasant and did an outstanding job. Just another beautiful day in the neighborhood. We wish Hannah and Derek all the best and what life has to offer. Thank you for allowing D&M DJ Service to be part of your spectacular day and God bless you.

Rankin end of school party. Collins party. 5/25/24
The Rankins are such good people. We usually do two parties at the end of the school year for them. This one was Collins on Saturday afternoon. The swimming pool and the music is always a great hit for them. They really enjoy themselves and they had such great host.

Spring Mills Middle School Field Day 5/24/24

What a great event for the kids at Spring Mills Middle School. I was going to be part of it. They had so many activities for the kids to enjoy on their last day. Lots of song requests from the students and they enjoyed it.

Middleway fire department banquet 5/11/24

This is the first time we provided the entertainment for the Middleway fire department banquet. We are happy that they ask us and it was a good time. The banquet was small in numbers due to them being a smaller department but it was big in fun. There was dancing and some karaoke as well. I believe they like that quite a bit. Thank you Middleway for having us there. Keep doing a good job and be safe. God bless

Senior center. Senior Prom 5/10/24

What a great day at the senior center providing the entertainment for their senior prom. Complete with a prom king and queen. Prior to starting, the elementary school kids from Faith Christian Academy were there planting flowers all over the place. It was a labor of love. They did such a great job. The ROTC from Spring Mills was there as well. They served the seniors their dinner and also mixed it up a little bit dancing with the seniors as well. Great group of kids. There was lots of dancing and probably one of the best parties in a while. Everyone had such a great time including me. I always have a great time rocking it out with the seniors. God bless them all.

Springvale farm

Saturday's wedding was nothing short of spectacular. Even a little drizzle didn't dampen the spirit of the day. It started with a beautiful ceremony. Shaina had asked me to play a voice recording of her speaking to Kyle before she walked in. Of course I happily agreed and it was just heartwarming. It was a surprise to him. The barn was full of family and friends and they were just spectacular and enjoy themselves. Even had some guests there from New York. Of course I had to play Frank Sinatra, New York, New York. A lot of dancing had by all as you can see by the pics. Since it was May 4th, the day included a little May the 4th be with you take off of Star Wars. Lightsabers included. Shaina and Kyle we're just wonderful to work with. Just great people. The venue was awesome as usual, as was the food by Carrabba's, great group of bartenders to help make the spirits bright. The night concluded with a sparkler send off outside the barn. Beautiful day, beautiful couple. May God always shine his light of Love upon them. God bless.

Saturday April 27 wedding. Andy & Mary Ceravalo.

Andy and Mary are such a wonderful couple. So much fun and God loving pair. It was wonderful being with them on their special day. The ladies from the church did a fantastic job of transforming the Social Hall into a wedding venue and as you can see from the photos it was magical looking. They also served and prepared the meal which was just as fantastic. Small crowd but so much fun and so much love. We enjoyed working with them and providing our services on their big day. The world is blessed to have people like Andy and Mary in it. Can't say enough good about them. May their days always be blessed. God bless them.

Great 50th birthday party / co****le tournament last night. Dave Stephens turn the big 50. It's a great evening with lots of friends and good people. One thing for sure Dave can look forward to all the AARP advertisements. LOL. Happy birthday Dave. Thank you Valerie Stephens for having us.

Had a great time last night providing the musical entertainment once again for the Jefferson County Junior ROTC Military Ball. It's always a pleasure to provide the music for such a great group of young men and women. We look forward to next year.

What a beautiful wedding reception this evening. First time at Brix 27 for a wedding. Awesome location and great staff. It was a beautiful day today for Brad and Chrystal Bolyard. Fantastic couple to work with and so much fun. It was a fun night tonight with Brad and Chrystal and all their friends and family. Everyone had a great time including me. We wish them all the best and may God always watch over them.

What a gorgeous day for a wedding. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and speaking of perfect so was our couple Brianna Hardy and Mark Cyrus. Wonderful young couple starting out on their journey together as husband and wife. They had great friends and family there to celebrate with them. It was a pleasure to be part of their special day. We hope them nothing but the best. Speaking of the best, we had the best barbecue from Mountaineer Meat Smokers. They did a bang-up job.

We started out Friday with Taylor's end the school year party. Then on Saturday it was graduation party for Maddy and then an end of the school year party for Kolin. All three parties were held at our friends the Rankins. Awesome hosts. The pool was a big hit. Everybody had a great time.

D&M DJ Service has been busy this weekend with 4 events. An end of the school year for Taylor on Friday, a graduation party for Maddy on Saturday, another end of the school year party on Saturday for Kolin. All 3 of these parties we are our friends Kelly and Jennifer Rankins house. Can you say pool party. Then the 4th was a beautiful wedding at the Purple Iris today for Tye and Paige Snyder. Great young couple starting out on their new adventure. Rest of the weekend off. Yay!

Beautiful wedding reception at a private residence. It may have rained just a little bit but it didn't dampen the spirit of a good time. Qualifications:

• Current WV Paramedic certification, or the ability to obtain within 60 days;

• Completion of an approved Hazardous Material Awareness course
• Completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Firefighter I certification (WV, ProBoard, or other acceptable equivalent)*
• Firefighter II certification OR Vehicle & Machinery Rescue Operations*

Great day today providing the entertainment for the Berkeley Senior Services Christmas /Holiday party. Lots of seniors in attendance having a great time. It does my heart good to see all the seniors enjoying themselves. I enjoy it so much. What a great center that does so much for the senior citizens in our area. God bless them all. Santa even made an appearance and hung out and danced too. One of the seniors in a military veteran, Robert offered the blessing and even sang a song.
