Picking a meaningful location for an engagement session is important for several reasons:

1. Emotional Connection: Choosing a location that holds significance for you can help you and your partner feel more comfortable and at ease during the photo shoot, allowing your genuine emotions and connection to shine through in the photos.

2. Personalization: A meaningful location can add a personal touch to the your photos, making them more unique and special.

3. Storytelling: The chosen location can help tell the YOUR story and showcase YOUR. journey together, adding depth and meaning to the photos.

I think three of my favorite locations so far have been an engagement session at the couples favorite Irish pub, a wedding at Progressive Field, and a vintage styled session at a drive-in movie theater. Each location was so specific to the couple and showcased who they are so perfectly. I want each and every one of my couples to be proud of their story. I never want them to blend in to the backgrounds or change who they are because of trends or social pressures. I want them to be authentically themselves and proud of it. ♥️♥️

When photographing a senior session, I always take the first few minutes to do “warm up”. We stick with easy poses, take some shots but what my whole purpose is to get everyone talking and loosen up the room. Joshua and Jordan are identical twins but in looks only. It was so fun talking to them and figuring out just how different their personalities are and it reminded me a lot of my three boys. It’s so cool to see how differently they photographed.

March of 2020 was the last time I made a post here on this page. In the three years since, my life has been absolutely chaotic and, if I am being honest, a total disaster. 2023 is the year I am finding myself again and that includes photography. I was a second photographer for an amazing friend of mine on April 29 and I realized just how much I missed photography. It's always been a part of me and I am so happy to get back to it. Cheers y'all.
