Happy Mother’s Day 💜 always grateful to be part of honoring the amazing moms out there with the best blooms we can find. still has a small number of bouquets for you at both their Hampden and Hamilton locations—run over there for a wonderful breakfast, a box of pastries, and a springy bouquet.

Motherhood is the most empowering and humbling experience — to mother is to be a relentless loving force. Since becoming a mom I see acts of mothering happening in so many forms. Tending a garden, caring for a friend, picking up litter, creating a work of art, sharing something from a deep part of yourself with another person, travailing for justice in a world that feels very dark—all of this, this is mothering. If you’re reading this (lol) thank you for being a friend of Violet Floral — I am so grateful to have a job I love so much that also allows me to spend lots of time with my incredible little girl. Everything I do is to give her a happy home and an amazing future, and I am thankful every day to do what I do both as a mom and a small business owner. 💜

It’s time! If you want to join us in making flower arrangements for oncology patients at our local hospitals, please mark your calendars for 2.12! Bring a friend and get a taste of flower shop life while creating something that will brighten someone’s day. We’ll have all the flowers and tools you’ll need, plus food, conversation and cheesy pop music at the ready. Kids are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult (we suggest elementary age and up.)
