If you completed your long form and indicated a hotel preference, you will soon be receiving your email with the links to the brands above. Please be patient as our team is doing their best to make sure that you have a wonderful time!

Early bird discount pricing for the 73rd NSDC expires February 25th, 2023! Sign up while the price is at its lowest!

Our numbers are growing and we appreciate everyone who has registered to date. The cutoff date for the early bird pricing of $50 per adult and $25 per youth under 18 is rapidly approaching (February 25, 2023 is the last day). If you are already registered you should have gotten your long form by email or US Postal Service. For a Great Convention, in a Great City, on a Great Lake visit Milwaukee WI, June 26-29k, 2024.

Have you received your registration refund for the 69th NSDC yet? Great! If not, don't worry, we are still working on it! We have completed about 2/3 of the refunds. Our goal is to have all the refunds completed by the end of May.

Thank you for your continued patience and thank you especially to all those who have donated their registrations to cover the expenses that have already been incurred. The dancing community is a great group of people that we are proud to be a part of. Stay safe and stay healthy. We are looking forward to when we dance again!

The post-convention cruise for the 69th NSDC has been officially cancelled by Holland America. Holland America is offering refunds in full or a future cruise credit worth 125% of the amount paid by the cruiser, plus a $250 onboard credit. Cruisers have until June 1, 2020 to determine if they want to accept the refund or future cruise credit. Please contact Nancy Parrott to discuss your options.

69th National Square Dance Convention®

It is with deep regret that we officially announce the cancellation of the 69th National Square Dance Convention® in Spokane, Washington, June 17-20, 2020. This decision is based on our concern for the health and safety of our attendees. After many hours of deliberations with the National Executive Committee (NEC), 69th NSDC staff and our convention partners in the City of Spokane, we have determined this is best for the welfare of all. We ask for your patience as we work through all the details involved in closing the 69th NSDC.

Our Registration Committee will cancel and refund all items including registration, hotel, RV, bus passes, tours, Wednesday Special Event and program books. The 69th NSDC has incurred expenses which have been paid from funds collected. If you would like to donate your Registration fees to help offset these expenses, it would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate your Registration Fees please send an email to [email protected].

You DO NOT need to send an email to request a refund. Each year the future Conventions receive most of their registration signups at the National Convention. To support future Conventions, please consider registering for them now through the links below. Thank you for your continuing support and understanding during this unprecedented time.

About Hotel Reservations:
There is a central processing facility that is handling all of the hotel reservations. Everyone will be individually contacted within two to six weeks, given delays due to the COVID-19 closures. Please refrain from contacting the hotel, Visit Spokane or any of the 69th Convention Staff in regards to this. Please do contact Nancy Friedlander if you have not heard anything by May 15th.

COVID-19

69th National Square Dance Convention® Update and Status

At the present time, we are planning to proceed with the 69th National Square Dance Convention® in Spokane Washington, June 17 – 20, 2020.

Please know that we are closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus). As you know, many large conventions and meetings have been postponed or canceled. We believe it is premature for us to begin making any decisions for modifying the June 17-20, 2020 Convention plans at this time.

Please be assured that our utmost concern is the health and safety of our Dancers, Dance Leaders, Vendors, Guests and the 69th NSDC and Spokane Convention Center staff.

The 69th NSDC is committed to providing information concerning the Convention Plans as soon as they are available. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we adapt to the unpredictable nature of the virus and its potential impact on the 69th NSDC.

We ask that everyone remain calm and allow adequate time to see how this all develops.

Did you know that the 69th National Square Dance Convention starts on Wednesday, June 17th and continues through Saturday, June 20th, 2020? Where else can you get five days of friends, fun, entertainment and exercise for $60/person? And it's 100% legal! ;)

In addition, there is a special event* planned for you Wednesday evening to welcome you: a Longhorn Barbecue dinner at the Riverfront Park at 5:30 pm, and the music and comedy of Joe Stoddard at the First Interstate Center for the Arts at 7:00, both right next to the Spokane Convention Center where dancing will begin at 8 pm. Most entertainers write these corny biographies themselves. They search desperately back in time, exaggerating their accomplishments in an effort to convince us that they are talented.

Personally, I refuse to draw attention to the fact that I have worked with such greats as: The Beach Boys, Ricky Nelson, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Rich Little.

My having performed with people like: Loretta Lynn, Pat Boone, Jim Stafford, Mickey Gilley, Jan & Dean and many, many others is unnecessary information and need not be considered.
