Brooke County Fair Match Results
September 13th 2023

Before the show officially began, indie wrestling legend Kid Cupid sadly announced his retirement from wrestling and left his boots in the ring. This was a hard moment for the many who have been entertained by Cupid over the years. We at BDW would like to thank Cupid for all the happiness you brought everyone throughout your career.

Match 1:
‘The Monster’ RK Sawyer W/ Lilith Defeated Silas McCarthy

The Monster demonstrated why he is called that in this pretty one sided match. R.K. absorbed any amount of creative offense Silas delivered, then used his “unholy” power to punish his opponent. Silas showed his resiliency and determination by enduring the brutal assault and even managed to gain a few near falls with well timed roll ups. In the end, Sawyer hit his ‘Homicidal Hell Drop’ and won the match.
After the bell, Silas’s Genophage teammate and “step brother” Pav Novak came out and hit him with an unexpected cutter. As he left, Novak said that we will handle this later.

Match 2:
Fatal Four Way For the BDW Internet Television Championship
William Renee Defeated Fleck (champion), Derek Wayne and Joey Reckless

From the beginning to the end, this match was pure chaos with all four men doing everything in their power to become champion. During the match, Reckless lived up to his name by throwing caution to the wind and diving off of both the stage and the ring apron to the outside; but perhaps his most impressive moment was his devastating spear he delivered on Derek Wayne. William Renee showed off his more ruthless side by hitting a vicious lariat on Reckless. Fleck demonstrated his power by delivering his doctor bomb on Renee. Derek Wayne proved he will fight anyone by prevailing in multiple fist fights. The final moments showed how tumultuous this match was as William locked in a sleeper hold on Fleck and Derek Wayne locked in his chicken wing submission on Reckless at the same time. Tensions rose to a fever pitch as no one could tell who was going to win. In the end, Fleck was unable to respond to the official who declared William Renee the winner and the new BDW Internet Television champion, ending Fleck’s unprecedented over 1,000 day reign.

Pav Novak came out saying that he had requested mic time. Disgustingly, when BDW ring announcer Jazlyn Steel went to hand him the mic, he chopped her to the ground and asked her “how did that feel sweetheart?”. This was an inexcusable heinous act that is sure to have repercussions in the future. Novak then proceeded to call out Silas McCarthy to berate him for the earlier loss. “YOU HAD ONE JOB, BEAT R.K. SAWYER.” He then challenged his brother to a match claiming if Silas was unable to beat him he would be out of the Genophage. BDW G.M. and Genophage advisor Tommy Horror made the match.

Match 3:
Silas McCarthy Defeated Pav Novak

The two teammates started off trying to gain any advantage over the other, with Pav being the first to do so when he hit his signature move the “Perfect Weapon”. Silas responded by giving a clothesline and landing several body shots. While Pav was regrouping he instinctively ran at Silas, but hit the ringpost allowing Silas to roll him up for the victory.

The ever controversial Derek Wayne came back to once again insult the BDW fans. Wayne then demanded to have another opponent so he can avenge his earlier loss.

Match 4:
‘The Steel City Outlaw’ Derek Wayne Defeated Inmate #9

Wayne started this match by delivering a powerful suplex, which he followed up by giving the inmate a leg drop. When this was not enough to keep #9 down, Wayne resorted to choking him in the ropes. Inmate #9 used his speed and out maneuvered Derek several times, including a near fall with an unexpected roll-up. In the end, “The Steel City Outlaw” dropped his opponent with a double armed DDT to pick up the victory.

Unexpectedly, a very erratic Joey Reckless came out yelling that “no one is crazier than me”. It was unclear what his exact intentions were, but given the unhinged nature of this incident, it feels safe to say Joey has plans for the future and was putting everyone in the crowd and in the locker room on notice.

Match 5:
Number One Contenders Match for the BDW Heavyweight Championship
“The Trailer Park Demon" Damien Greene Defeated Superior G

The main event delivered a very hard hitting athletic contest between two of the top stars in BDW. Greene used his strength to slam G, who fought back using his cunning skills by eye poking his opponent and driving him into the steel ring post. The two big men fought on the outside with G getting the best of the exchange. Back in the ring, Damien used his size to his advantage by throwing all of his mass into G, practically flattening him. Superior G endured and went to the top rope and returned the favor by sending all of his body weight crashing down an unbelievable three times. In the end, Damien Greene delivered a devastating Black Hole Slam to win the match and become the number one contender for the BDW Heavyweight Championship.

After the show, BDW general manager Tommy Horror took to the mic to thank the fans for “making him richer”, and then proceeded to have a drink with Damien Greene. This disrespectful act did not sit well with fans and especially offended BDW owner Rikk Diamond Sr. who decided to fire Horror. Greene was shocked by this and even spit out his drink on the newly unemployed former GM. Horror’s Genophage stablemate Eric Johnson took offense to this and hit Greene in the back. Greene hit Johnson with a beer can, threw him into the ring and flatended him with a black hole slam. Fans rejoiced as the arrogant Johnson was helped out of the ring.
