Grand Prix Taipei 2014 Typhoon Alert

There is currently a typhoon alert in Taipei but the good news is the typhoon is expected to leave Taipei before Friday. Therefore, Grand Prix Taipei will go on as scheduled.

A gentle reminder to players or judges travelling internationally, please kindly check with your airline(s) on the possibility of flight delays and/or cancellations before heading to the airport.

Most scheduled international flights are served by Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in nearby Taoyuan County. Songshan Airport at the heart of the city in the Songshan District serves domestic flights and scheduled flights to Haneda International Airport in Tokyo, Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, and about 15 destinations in the People's Republic of China. Songshan Airport is accessible by the Taipei Metro Wenhu Line (brown). (separate flight queues for each format, each flight will start when there are 32 players)

From 10 am (last Sealed Deck trial begins at 4 pm, last Standard trial begins at 5 pm)

1st - Second-round bye and free Sleep In Special
2nd - 18 Theros booster packs
3rd and 4th - 9 Theros booster packs

Sleep In Special

If you have byes, you can:
- skip the player meeting
- skip the Sealed Deck pool registration and swap
- have your Sealed Deck pool registered for you (by a judge)
- sleep in on Saturday morning, reporting only before the round in which you will start play (to construct your deck)

Sleep In Special reporting times:
1 bye - 11 am
2 byes - 12 pm
3 byes - 1 pm

Please note that after reviewing round start times at GP Singapore and GP Bangkok, reporting times have been pushed back 30 minutes allowing for more snooze time!

This service is available for only HKD $120. Last Chance Trials winners will receive this service for free. Platinum Level Pro Players and Pro Tour Hall of Famers will also receive this service for free.

This service will be offered throughout the registration period on Friday. Simply mention that you would like to purchase the service while registering. Please also ensure that you have the correct number of byes while registering.

Participation prize: each participant will receive 1 foil promo card (from a pool of previous FNM foils)

Prizes based on points after 4 Swiss rounds:
12 points - 6 Theros booster packs and 4 additional foil promo cards
9-10 points - 4 Theros booster packs and 3 additional foil promo cards
6-8 points - 2 Theros booster packs and 2 additional foil promo cards
3-5 points - 1 additional foil promo card

Foil promo card choices are limited to one choice of each type available (no duplicates)
