This week at the inaugural Atlanta Art Fair, introduces their newest represented artist, Nigerian-born artist , with a featured painting created specifically for the fair.

“In my piece, ‘Caryatid Male Figure Surmounted by a Bird,’ I have reimagined the traditional male caryatid as a contemporary figure, perched on by a bird, a signifier of the linkage of the space between the heavens and the earth and also the mystical power of women, represented on the crown of the King or Oba.”

“The supreme deity or orisha, occupying the apex of the spiritual and physical spaces of the Yoruba. I am excited to be sharing this piece via Alan Avery Art Company at the Atlanta Art Fair 2024, where hopefully it will resonate with viewers, thereby fostering intercultural dialogue to stimulate cultural awareness and diversity.”
