So, NO July 3rd Fireworks at the Lakefront this year. That does not mean that we can't have fun flying kites and enjoying the Day. Gift of Wings is proud to present the NON FIREWORKS KITE EVENT. Yep, Gift of Wings with the help of our Friend, the Giant Kite Guy will be flying our Giant kites all day long on July 3rd in Veterans Park at Gift of Wings. We start at 11 am. We are inviting everyone to come down and fly kites with us. If you don't have a kite, then pick one up from Gift of Wings in the Park. The NON FIREWORKS KITE FESTIVAL is a FREE event with plenty of FREE Parking.

It's a FREE event with FREE Parking. Featured performers include Fire & Ice, Connor and Amy Doran, Jean Lemire and our show host Van McNeil for 92.1 VTY Country! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to all who attended and worked on and at the Family Kite Festival Presented by IKEA Milwaukee/Chicago Area this past Weekend. Friday and Saturday were really great days and the DARE TO DREAM show at the Greendale Middle school by Connor and Amy Doran from America's Got Talent was fun and inspiring! The show on Saturday in Veterans Park was just unbelievable. We had more large kites than we have ever had over Milwaukee's Skyline, our performers put on shows that were world class. Thanks to Great sponsors and especially IKEA. Working with IKEA is a fun experience. Thanks to our media Partners, B93.3, FM102/1 and the Fonz Radio. Thanks to Vince Vitrano from 620 WTMJ. With the Family Kite Festival Presented by IKEA with stores in the Milwaukee/ Chicago area and Gift of Wings, we decided to place billboards all over the Milwaukee area advertising our great Kite Festival this weekend. So, here is the challenge, watch for our billboards and comment on them every time you see one, so we can see how effective they really are. Now don't comment until you stop driving though. Saturday, May 4th, Gift of Wings Kites from Milwaukee, and the Wheaton, IL Parks district will once again be hosting the GO FLY A KITE, KITE FESTIVAL in Graf Park, 1855 Manchester Rd. The times are 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, with the Grand launch of all of the kites at 11:00 am. This will be followed by the MOST UNIQUE KITE contest and the Highest-flying kite. The Wheaton Eye Clinic will be sponsoring the Kids Mad dash at 11:30. The Wheaton Eye clinic will be giving out 40 FREE kites to the first 40 kids that sign up and participate to see who can get their kite the highest in 60 seconds. Jeanne Herrera from Racine will be holding a candy drop for the kids. Imagine candy falling from the sky. Also, for the first time ever, A NEW CONTEST CALLED WHEATON’S GOT KITE TALENT.
