Marry Me, Hunnie Manitoba Marriage Commissioner, Marriage Licence Vendor, Custom Ceremony Creation, Baby Welcoming. We love to celebrate love!
(11)

We are provincially appointed Commissioners of Marriages in Manitoba. We would also be happy to preside over commitment ceremonies if you are in a common-law relationship. If you are planning a destination wedding, we offer legality ceremonies to register your marriage here and to avoid the costly and inconvenient "red tape" that may be necessary for some jurisdictions. If you would like to renew

your vows, we would be honoured to help you in that regard, as well. I will help you to custom-design a ceremony that reflects your unique personalities. We offer rehearsal services so that all interested parties will know what to do on your big day. Should you have a family member that you would like to preside over your ceremony, we can attend to provide the legal signatures without the need for your friend to assume the cost of registering as a one-time commissioner. As well, I can write a beautiful ceremony for your friend to deliver. I can also provide coaching and consultation services for your friend or family member to help them preside over your ceremony with confidence. We are also Manitoba Marriage Licence Vendors and can assist you in acquiring and completing that necessary legal document.

I am delighted to share this review of Marry Me, Hunnie!
"We met Sheryl at the wonderful wedding show, as well as many other commissioners, however, Sheryl’s beautiful smile and exuberant personality stood out to us instantly. Sheryl is so friendly and loves to have a good time. She was so organized throughout the entire planning of our ceremony, was able to guide us through rehearsal, and be my calming energy right before we said ‘I do!’
Thank you, Sheryl, for being the best person to hire to tell our love story and engage our family and friends!!"

Thanks, Alexus & Braeden! It was a joy to work with you, both!

Natasha and Ovidiu invited their nearest and dearest to an intimate morning ceremony at The Norwood Hotel. They opted for a romantic Short & Sweet ceremony with which to tie the knot! (We were wearing matching pearls)

When people ask,”Where can we get married”? The answer is “anywhere that has a legal address”! Emily and Igal were married in an unconventional classroom space that they completely transformed for their Short &Sweet ceremony!

In early April I was lucky enough to officiate a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Gusto North! I hadn’t met the couple prior to their wedding day, but almost their entire wedding party and several guests were former students of mine! It was such a delight to catch up with so many of them.

'Robyn and Seth are truly the sweetest couple! We worked together to build a beautiful ceremony that included their love story (they met in grade 1!!) and a blanket ceremony that included their families. They had this to say about their experience:
"We met Sheryl at her booth at the Wonderful Wedding show, she acknowledged that we are Indigenous and even gave ideas on how to include our culture into the ceremony. Lots of back and forth emails and great communication & she made our rehearsal so easy.

We would hire her again in the future when we want to renew our vows. WE HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Phew! What a season it has been! I have loved every minute of it and want to express my gratitude to the over 100 couples who trusted us to help them take this step in their relationship.
2025 marks my fifteenth year as an officiant! Marry Me, Hunnie has some big changes coming!
1. After seven years as a mother-son team, Travis is stepping back from officiating weddings. It has been such a joy to work with him and I have appreciated all the ways he has helped me grow: from designing and building the website and streamlining the administrative tasks to offering his perspectives on tradition and convention (and being a great editor..I can be wordy!), he has been a real catalyst for change and growth. I think I learned more from him than he from me!
2. Over the past two years, I have been taking time to do some professional learning. As a result, I have revamped how I work with couples to create their ceremonies. This summer, I began focusing the Signature ceremony on the couple and their story rather than having the story as an add-on. In 2025, I will be taking on fewer ceremonies to ensure I am getting it right.

Stay tuned for a look back at the summer wedding season! Now that the rush is over, I am excited to look back on the past summer of love and to share it with you!

I loved working with Brittney and Tyler to create their D&D inspired ceremony.

Marry Me Hunnie - Sheryl Hunnie - 12/10 - We met Sheryl at the wedding show the previous year and instantly fell in love with her ease and charm - We knew our vows and ceremony would be different (We love D&D and Nerdy Things) She was so excited to incorporate exactly what we wanted and even brought her ideas to the table! We had such a blast creating everything together - Please if you haven’t chosen an officiant yet these guys know their stuff and are so amazing to work with!

Good communication is key to every relationship! As we head into "busy season", here are some tips regarding communicating with your wedding vendors.

1. Most vendors prefer all communication via email, using a single thread. Use your names, wedding date, venue, and time as the subject heading.

Why it might matter: This year I have four brides with the same first name within a five-week period. Having complete information is so helpful. Also, your email address, Facebook name, or Instagram handle may have nothing to do with your actual names, and having the correct info eliminates the guesswork.

2. Any changes you want to make in your day must be communicated in writing to every vendor the change affects. Be aware vendors may not be able to accommodate your change. Check your service agreement to see if your request is possible under the terms of the contract. Be sure to confirm the change with all vendors.

Why it might matter: I once arrived at a wedding 3 hours early because a time change wasn't communicated to me. Another couple wanted to move their wedding 70 km with a week's notice. If a vendor has more than one wedding in a day, this can be ...problematic.

3. Respect vendor business hours. For example, many vendors have office hours on weekdays, but may not reply to emails on the weekend as we are busy with weddings.

Hint: If you can schedule your email to send at 9:00 am on a Monday or Tuesday, it will be at the top of the inbox rather than buried under the weekend's mail.

4. Respect vendor timelines. If a vendor reaches out to you with questions, please reply in a timely fashion. Try not to leave things to the last minute.

5. Finally, if you are not sure about something, ask for clarification. An experienced wedding vendor has the answers you need or can provide you with the resources to find the information.

We want your day to be perfect, too!
