CALY was so blessed to be in the presence of American Labor Leader and Civil Rights activist Dolores Huerta once again. Part of CALY’s mission is to provide leadership, empowerment, education, and cultural advancement among Latina youth in middle school and high school. Today we embodied that. Being able to put our youth in spaces like these is what we’re all about. It’s not everyday that our youth are in the presence of such greatness with someone who looks like them. Thank you to and for welcoming us we greatly appreciate you. 2nd picture is from April 2018 the first time CALY was graced by Dolores’ presence.
