Latest mix from our show this weekend at The Arc.

This was another awesome event we threw on April 23 2023. We had a great night with some awesome sets start to finish. In this set, I took some risks, layering tracks more deeply and building energy up to some super juicy melodic moments in the breakdowns. I used tracks in a more artistic way than perhaps normal, and chose some tunes that had some sentimental, vocal, beautiful melodies and flavours, and let these moments bridge together some really heavy techno/tech-house sections. I had a ton of fun and I felt very well received by the audience. Some of the comments I heard were that this set pushed them out of their comfort zone and took them on an 'artistic' journey. They appreciated having their boundaries and hearing some new sounds, not just repackaged poppy jams (for which I have a total love for in the right circumstances). I feel blessed to be able to evolve as a DJ and keep finding new territory to traverse to, once a baseline of trust is generated with the audience.
Great time, great night, one of my favorite sets ever to perform.

Here's a fresh mix I recorded from last weekend's The Pearl Compass Dress In White Full Moon Medicine Odyssey event.
"Representing the East for this event, I was inspired by my house and underground techno roots dancing at clubs and warehouses in Montreal and Toronto in the 90s and influenced by early classic house/techno from NYC, Detroit & Chicago. This mix has some sombre, melodic vibes as well as some jackin hands-in-the-air classic diva house, and also some slick bassline/future house that has caught my ear. Enjoy the mix.
Dedicated to a fallen brother who recently passed away in Victoria, BC- Darren we miss you bro. I hope you're dancing, wherever you are!"
