Wow Terrace, BEASTS IN THE BASSMENT was a blast! We appreciate all of you who came out and partied with us all night long. This was our first show we’ve hosted as Northern Frequency and we’re just getting started. First a big thank you to the artists who all played some wicked sets:

And a very special thank you to our headliner Kimati for making the trip from Kelowna. It was great to catch up and we can’t wait to see you again.

We’d like to thank the venue as well Best Western Terrace Hotel for allowing us to host our event with them. Also thank you to everyone that helped with decorating, photography, and small jobs that helped the night run smoothly. We also had some pretty legit sound in there - Keethovan not only played a badass set, he provided us with some serious PK speakers for the night.

Keep an eye out for our next event. We love you all and can’t wait to do it again.

Hey friends, we’re super excited for the show tomorrow! Get your tickets before the price jumps to $45 at the door. The doors open at 7pm tomorrow and the entrance is located at the side of the building facing the parking lot.

The bar will be selling Sherwood Mountain draft for $5 and everything else will be $8 (not including taxes). Please make sure you bring two pieces of I.D. with you as it’s required at the door for entry.

Let’s have some fun and make the start of your Halloween weekend memorable. See you on the dance floor!

Artist spotlight -

Kimati is a Producer/Dj based out of British Columbia, Canada.
Kimati has been making great strides and advancements in the underground bass scene specifically growing popularity through his break through sound design, melodies and vocal work. Having gained support from labels such as: Wubaholics, morflo, HeadBangSociety, Doyu Digital, IWI collective, No Hype Music, Aspire Higher, Wavecraft Collective And many more, the rising talent continues to show his skills and diversity going into 2023

Artist Spotlight -

Flinrite

Flinrite is an up and coming bass music producer from Northern British Columbia. He’s been creating waves in the scene with his unique high energy sets.

His love for music started at a very young age with guitar and singing and eventually moved into electronic music when He fell in love with the culture and the EDM scene. In 2022, he made the decision to deep dive into production and shortly after was accepted into the class of 808 at Ill Gates’, Producer Dojo. Flinrite’s unique style is a mix of bumpy bass to melodic feels and high energy dance music. He’s been working with various artists in the Dojo and is quickly making a name for himself.

Artist Spotlight -

Scenes of Violence

Scenes of violence formed their band in 2017, however they were a complete band as of 2021.
Each band member share the same passion for music & metal. They all individually have their own background in music projects. The two guitar players Wade Wesley (Rhythm guitar) & Russell Peterson (Lead Guitar) used to play original songs together, along with covers at open mic nights. They were called Kreature. This is how Dustin Burns(drummer)previously in Grinder, The Demean& Josh Bolan (bass) previously in The Demean&Throttlecaster in Kamloops.
discovered them. From 2017 to 2021 they formed together and wrote many songs. They were in search for a singer for quite awhile; but couldn’t seem to find the perfect fit. It wasn’t until riverboat days 2021 that they met Ben Korol (Singer). He was the missing piece that was needed. Ben wrote lyrics to all of the songs that the band put together. Since then they really hit their stride. As they have hosted an all ages Halloween show, played at the Legion & now going to open up at their second Halloween show.

Good afternoon friends! I hope you're as excited for this Halloween as we are! With that being said, we have some exciting news! We have a couple of very cool prizes up for grabs at BEASTS IN THE BASSMENT happening on October 27th.
You know we had to do a costume contest and can't wait to see what you're all going to transform yourselves into that evening.

Artist Spotlight -

FÜNKT

FÜNKT is a Bass DJ from Northern BC. He grew up in Terrace playing in punk and metal bands as a kid that transitioned into the filthy bass he is known for today. You can catch him dropping anything from Melodic Basslines to Wobbly Basshouse, Bassline and Dubstep to keep that dance floor vibin. He has thrown and performed many events over the years keeping the scene in the north flowing including various shows, resident dj in local clubs and performing in festivals like Valhallafest.

Artist Spotlight -

Keethovan

Keethovan is a DJ from the Northern Coast of British Columbia who loves a good bass-line; everything from energetic house to his favourite; heavy dubstep. He’s no stranger to bass music - it was his first love when he discovered electronic music as a kid.
In high school, he had a love of collecting old vintage audio gear which he’d tinker and experiment with to get a better understanding of the hardware and what it’s capable of. It went hand in hand with his love of EDM.
He’s always been interested in learning how to mix and finally started in 2019. Since then, he’s been dipping his toes in local shows around Prince Rupert and Terrace; growing in the scene and creating a name for himself.
