Here's the race and points results from last weekend. WOW is all I can say. One of our biggest struggles in deciding to have a couple races Dragway 42 was how it would affect the points series. It seems to not be an issue😃.
Nobody is going to want to miss our next race. Aug 3rd is DOUBLE POINTS and with positions already a little surprising we can't wait to see how things shake out.

No Tube Chassis. Must Have Steel Roof & Quarters.

Must Have a Functional Cooling System.
Must Have a Functional Alternator Battery Charging System. (No Generator/Battery Chargers Permitted)
Must drive on its own power to staging lanes.
Must drive on your own power from the return road unless there is a problem stopping you from doing so.

BODY:
All entries must have a factory based production type vehicle.
Must be street appearing and have a stock appearing dash.
Factory firewall in stock location with factory material. Engine must be in stock location. We will allow for modifications to the firewall for headers and turbos only.
Wheelbase must be within 2" of factory dimensions.
One piece front end permitted provided it retains factory appearance.
Fiberglass/carbon body parts limited to hood,fenders,doors,deck lid, and bumpers (roof permitted if it came with factory fiberglass ex. 93-02 Camaro/Firebird.)
Factory fiberglass bodies permitted as long as it is verified to be factory material. any changes or alterations in body lines or dimensions must be approved prior to modification.
FRONT SUSPENSION:
Back half type cars only/firewall back. Double round tube firewall forward prohibited.
Stock front framerails and suspension required. Front frame rails to be original OEM type & must be fully intact from firewall out past the far most lower control arm mount. Slight notching allowed for header clearance. Header must pass through this area. Aftermarket bolt on subframes and K frames allowed (Racecraft,Aje,TRZ ,chassis shop built with approval).
Factory front frame must be connected to the Sub-frame or k member or lower suspension component by bolting and or stitch welds,no solid welding.
Lower control arm must bolt to the factory mounting points on the front section of the frame. Rack and pinion steering allowed
REAR SUSPENSION:
Any type of rear suspension allowed.
TIRES:
Any slick tire or pro bracket radial up to 30x10.5 sidewall designation allowed. W tires ok. DOT tires, drag radials or pro radials up to 12.5 or 325 side wall.
ENGINE:
Any type of engine combo allowed.
TRANSMISSION:
Any type of automatic or manual transmission allowed.
POWER ADDERS:
Nitrous; no limit on stages. Single Turbo; 118mm limit. Procharger; Max F3-136 Twin Turbos; Limited to 88mm. Roots Blowers are permitted. No Screw Blowers.

If you are coming this weekend to race any of the outlaw classes.....when you pay the gate fee you will receive a tech card from the track and then you will receive another one from us when you register. You will need to bring BOTH cards to the staging lanes for first qualifier

Here are the points standings. Don't forget, you have until 1st round of the July 6th race to sign up. WE DROP 1 RACE so missing the 1st one doesn't put you out of the hunt.
If you raced last weekend but didn't sign up IT'S NOT TO LATE, you still can and all points from that race will be applied to your total.

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!! I don't even know where to start and I'm sure I'm going to forget something.
There can be no order to who gets thanked 1st because none of this could have happened without all the players.
THANK YOU Dragway 42 for welcoming us to your facility! Our 1st time at a different track and their 1st time working with a new series. It was exciting and challenging and a lot of new/extra work. It will get easier and better the more we do it. Before the next race, Aug31 we will have everything printed and posted so hopefully the majority of your questions will be answered before you get to the gate. And now that we've done this once we can streamline things so we have more time to deal with spur of the moment issues.
THANK YOU to all the racers!! We had racers that are close to Dragway 42 gave our series a try for the 1st time and Empire Outlaw racers who were willing to travel several hours. Despite mother nature, there were personal bests, races won or lost by thousandths (Extreme Outlaw final: MOV .0015) and some REALLY fast passes. We hope that we were able to provide all the fans and spectators with a good show both Friday testing and Saturday racing.
Sponsors are an integral part of drag racing. They are the "behind the scenes" that make this happen for all of us.... racetracks, teams, individual racers and the fans. As much as we announce their names, print them on fliers, promote them on social media, the best we can do to give back is remember them when you need a good or service or when someone asks you for a recommendation. Two things that got lost in the shuffle (chaos😄) are the Special Awards and the 50:50 Raffle. Copo Bob Sanders was the $330 winner of the 50:50. Sima Alfaqih was awarded the Best Wheelie award from Mills racecraft and unfortunately we had a tough decision about the "Hardship Award". After speaking with John Frank R&J Dynotune it will be split between Tim Antinora and Crystal Curpier.
If you had a good time we hope you consider coming to Empire Dragway for our July 6th race or share your experience with other racers for when we come back to 42 on Aug 31. We know things were far from perfect so if you have any issues, problems or suggestions please contact us. All of you are looking from the outside and see things that we don't.
