Good morning Long Island! Did you miss me? We haven’t posted in a while and I’ve missed letting you all in on everything that’s going on. It’s been insanely busy and the Cicala kitchen has taken on several new projects. We’ve been doing a lot more private chef work while still doing select catering events. We have dates booked into spring and summer of next year so we’re asking that you please give us as much notice as possible so we can let you know if we’re available for your event. It’s that time of year when the air is cooler, leaves are turning, and thoughts of the holidays are on everyone’s mind. If you’re interested in ordering for the holidays please note that we have limited spaces available. Christmas cookie platters must be ordered by no later than December 1. If you are interested in private chef services please call Pattie @516-519-6194 to discuss your needs and budget. We are so grateful for the loyalty of our customers and our favorite thing is meeting new friends. Thank you so much!

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s been a while since I was able to post but it’s been insanely busy in the Cicala kitchen! Graduations, family parties, corporate events – they’ve all kept us running. We have been delivering as far out as one tour and I making plans to expand our area thanks to so many requests. This week we will not be doing our set menu family dinners on Monday and Wednesday due to the holiday. We’ve got lots of parties going out and it’s the season to be on the water here on L.I. That means lots of stuffed breads and Stromboli’s, boxed dinners, and all kinds of yummy treats delivered to homes and marinas. Today I am posting a menu for next Monday, July 9! I’m posting early because we’ve had a lot of requests for this and I’m going to have to limit the number of dinners then go out so please order early.You can order by commenting on this post or sending us a message. I will confirm with you via messenger or phone if you leave me a number to text. You need to hear from me to be confirmed. This is a labor-intensive and time-consuming dinner. But oh so yummy! I will post the menu for Wednesday, July 11 in a day or two Have a happy and safe holiday week and try to stay cool. We live in one of the best places on earth so enjoy and make some beautiful memories

I stole some time today to head out east to some of the farmers markets. Check out those gorgeous veggies. They are destined for a family party this week!

Happy Sunday!! It’s been an incredibly busy weekend here at La Cicala and we are gearing up for an equally busy week! So it’s time for you guys to vote on what you would like on Wednesdays family dinner menu this week. Wow! What a great day! We sold out all spots for Wednesday night set menu family dinner and the guys weren’t even back from deliveries when the reviews came in. We are so thrilled that you all enjoyed and we decided to add a day! We’re going to offer a set menu on Monday and try to focus on healthy options. This Monday’s menu is actually one of the options that you all voted on last week. It came in a very very close second and we received many requests to put this dinner out so here goes…
Please have your orders in by Saturday morning so our team can shop and prep. I will be posting another for you to vote on Wednesdays dinner choice. Remember you can always call and have a dinner customized to your preferences any other night of the week. Have a wonderful evening and make some beautiful memories

Good morning! First of all – ordering is closed for Wednesday nights family set menu dinner! We have no spots left but stay tuned because we’re adding a day next week. Look for us on Monday and Wednesday!
Now the fun stuff – this was an order delivered to a school to thank a group of special ed teachers. The parents who sent this are so grateful and the Mom told me it takes a village to raise a special needs child. We are so honored when families include us in these special days and these kinds of jobs make what I do worthwhile. Have a beautiful day everyone and make some wonderful memories

Oh my gosh! Our customers never cease to surprise me! The votes are in and this weeks Wednesday menu is up. Have to tell you I was a little surprised at the choice. Based on our previous requests we thought that the shrimp tacos would win out hands down! It was somewhat close but our winner is Penne ala Vodka w/ grilled Chicken chicken. My assistant Erica thinks that my whoopie pies may have put this choice in the lead LOL
So here is our menu for Wednesday and just a few pictures of what we’ve been doing this past week. Here we go! Trying something a little different this week. We're taking a poll! I'm giving you 3 choices- vote for what you'd like to see on Wednesday's dinner delivery. Most votes by tonight will be on the menu and orders will be taken for Wednesday!

Option 1- Tropical grilled shrimp and pineapple taco bar.
We will provide soft tortillas, mango salsa, toasted coconut, lettuce and tomato,. Side of jasmine rice, lemon cream puffs for dessert

Option 2- Penne vodka with grilled chicken, broccoli w/ lemon oil and garlic, garlic bread, mini whoopie pies w/ Oreo cream mousse filling

Option 3- Chicken francaise, rice, roasted veggies, chocolate chip muffins
