The 2024 Season in Hindsight - Round 2️⃣

On June 23th, Belgium Racing redeemed themselves and managed to claim their first victory in the Round 2 at Circuit Zolder. Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele triumphed after an intense 125-minute race, securing both the PETB and Belcar wins. Q1 Trackracing secured silver and bronze, with Glenn Paenen and Jan Ooms in second, and Nicolas Van Dierendonck and Filip Teunkens in third. In GTB, Kenny Herremans and Arthur Peters won in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with Tip Top by NGT.

The 2024 season in hindsight - Round 1️⃣

In the first Round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux, Dirk Schouten and Filip Teunkens of Q1 Trackracing claimed victory at Circuit Zolder after an intense battle until the very end with Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele of Belgium Racing. Despite Lauryssen’s car taking a big hit and rolling over in the final stretch, Belgium Racing still managed to finish in second place, manifesting the safety of the Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup. The Meurrens family took third place with MM Racing, marking their first podium in the PETB.

As the 2024 season of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux has come to a close, it’s time to reflect on what has been an incredible year of endurance racing. The season showcased great battles on iconic circuits like Zolder, Spa-Francorchamps, and the French Anneau du Rhin.

From the season opener where Q1 Trackracing continued their winning form from previous season, to Belgium Racing Team’s back-to-back victories, every Round delivered excitement and competition. The highlight for many teams and fans undoubtedly was the 24 Hours of Zolder, where D’Ieteren Luxury Performance celebrated a historic 20th Porsche victory in this endurance classic. The final Rounds saw Belgium Racing cap off an outstanding season with a P1 finish, while Jarne Geussens and Evren Yondem with YDM Racing left their mark on the podium.

Thank you to all the drivers, teams, and partners for their dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship. Each of you helped contribute to making the 2024 season Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux another unforgettable chapter in racing history.

Belgium Racing caps off a stellar season at the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux finale

- Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele win the final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux, ahead of their Belgium Racing teammates Sacha Norden and Michael Cool.
- Third place for YDM-Racing with Evren Yondem and Jarne Geussens who confirm their good form.

The final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux concluded in spectacular fashion at Circuit Zolder, with Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele claiming victory for Belgium Racing. Their teammates, Sacha Norden and Michael Cool, secured second place, while YDM-Racing's Evren Yondem and Jarne Geussens rounded off the podium in third.

The race also served as the finale of the Belgian Endurance Championship (Belcar), where Lauryssen and Derdaele not only won the final round but also clinched the Belcar Endurance Championship title. Having already secured the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux crown in the previous race, the duo's win cemented their dominance in both competitions.

The final results of the season are in!

Dylan Derdaele and Jan Lauryssen, behind the wheel of car number 99 for Belgium Racing, secure a P1 finish in the GTA class, closing out the season as the 2024 PETB Champions in style. Meanwhile, Tip Top Rent by NGT’s car number 63 takes P1 in the GTB class.

Final of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux at Circuit Zolder

Zonhoven, 10 October 2024 – As the season draws to a close, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux is gearing up for its final round at Circuit Zolder, coinciding with the last race of the Belcar Endurance Championship. While the champions, Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele of Belgium Racing, have already been crowned during the previous round in France, the fight for the remaining podium spots is still wide open.

A sharp, well-prepared pit crew is crucial in endurance racing. The teams should always be ready to take care of both the car and the drivers. Additionally, strategy plays an even more important role in endurance racing compared to sprint racing, especially when it comes to pit stops – knowing the perfect moment to come in can make all the difference.

Victory for Jarne Geussens and Evren Yondem with YDM Racing in France!

- Belgium Racing's Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele secure 2024 Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux title

The sixth round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux delivered yet another thrilling race, producing a fifth different winner in just six events. On the challenging 'old-school' circuit of l’Anneau du Rhin in the French Alsace region, YDM Racing secured its first-ever victory, with young talents Evren Yondem and Jarne Geussens taking the top spot in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992). Meanwhile, a fourth-place finish for Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele of Belgium Racing confirmed their 2024 title, with one race still remaining. This triumph extends Belgium Racing’s dominance, following their 2023 success, and marks the first title for Lauryssen and Derdaele, taking over from the Wauters brothers as the new champions.

This weekend, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux moves to France for the penultimate round of the season, taking place at the picturesque l’Anneau du Rhin circuit in Alsace, just south of Colmar. With the championship title on the line, this event could prove decisive.

D’Ieteren Luxury Performance clinches Porsche’s 20th victory in the 24 Hours of Zolder

Circuit Zolder, 26 August 2024: Porsche celebrated its 20th victory in the 46th edition of the 24 Hours of Zolder, marking a historic milestone. Thanks to the brilliant efforts of D’Ieteren Luxury Performance by NGT and drivers Benjamin Paque, Kobe Pauwels, Bertrand Baguette, Robin Knutsson, and Glenn Van Parijs, a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – Type 992 – claimed victory for the second consecutive year after completing 787 laps.

Our Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux pole sitters are known!

In GTA it’s the #93 RedAnt Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) that completes it’s lap as the fastest Porsche. Meanwhile in GTB the pole position goes to the #63 Tip Top Racing by NGT Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport RS.

Now it’s time for the final practice session in the darkness after which we will be racing for 24 hours straight 🌙
