• The Sustainability Edition! The numbers are in are we are SO THRILLED to share all of our accomplishments this year in the world of sustainable catering! Here’s a hot list of how we turned our ambitious goals into positive impacts on our events, our community and our planet!

🍄‍🟫 In the final months of 2024, we composted 8,802 pounds of food scraps, supplying what they need to grow their mushrooms in their local indoor farm!

🌱 As an original signatory to the we committed to reducing our carbon emissions from menus by 25% in 2030

🦪 TPC recirculated 1,040 pounds of shells back into the NY Harbor with the project! In total we’ve collected over 200,000 shells from our events!

🌊 For the second year in a row we hit our goal of cleaning up 6,000 pounds of plastic pollution from our oceans with .io

🎨 Througout the year we donate decor and other event materials to local students, art programs and non-profits by way of

🦆This year we donated all our corks to to repurpose them to make floating docks for NYCs coastal habitat!

Our Green Team not only talks the talk, but we walk the walk by continuously educating ourselves, our clients, and our industry. One word for this wedding : WOW!

We had the pleasure of planning this wedding with our out of state bride. Two things she kept saying was I want a luxurious, elegant wedding. She wanted her guests to experience a chic New York City wedding- and they did!!

🏃🏻‍♂️📣 We’re not just caterers, we can run marathons and cheer too!! We had the best day yesterday cheering on our very own and and his beautiful superhuman wife Shayna as they took to the boroughs on one of the most magical days in NYC! Such a fun day celebrating the city and people we love so much!!

🗞️ Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Thomas Preti Events to Savor has been featured in the New York City Mayor’s Annual Report for the Plant Powered Carbon Challenge! 🌱

We are ecstatic to have been featured in the annual report, with a special feature article that takes you behind the scenes of our first two weeks of June 2024. It all starts with how we began implementing simple changes that resulted in a reduction of 1,630 kilograms of CO2 equivalent. To put it in perspective, that’s like saving the environment from the emissions of burning nearly 3,000 pounds of coal, driving over 4,000 miles in a gas-powered vehicle, or planting 20 trees and letting them grow for 20 years.

We’ve made the most of the summer season, getting creative with our culinary team, sharing new menu items with our sales team rollouts, new hire seminars, on site staff trainings and open house interviews, photo shoots, rest and rebooting and of course getting ready for Fall 2024! We are so excited for the upcoming season and cannot wait to make people happy!

The Secret Sauce of Sustainable Menus 🌱 Our Executive Chef Christopher Tonti joined a sustainability panel discussion with leading voices in NYC hospitality and foodservice to talk about how to achieve sustainability goals with maximum impact through creative menu design and behavioral science for new audiences of flexitarians and omnivores.

Fact: This was the largest.

That’s correct event in partnership with Instagram was the largest beauty event they’ve had to date AND since I’ve had almost a month to reflect on this moment, where I was proud to serve as the creative partner, here is what it really stood for.

▫️A proclamation of a woman who has an undeniable calling on her spirit to demonstrate that blackness has always been beautiful and that the magnitude of our collective buying impact should be treasured, celebrated and seen.

▫️A reunion where you hugged, laughed, danced, shouted, cried, grabbed your selfie, and learned something new. It was both and for the spirit.

▫️A world-class educational experience where there were makeup tutorials, inside tips from Instagram itself, and some well-known influencers.

And, yes, for me and my fabulous creative partners, it was challenging, rewarding, and a reminder of why working with skilled experts is so critical.

So, I will likely be talking about this for a minute because it spoke to my brown skinned self, it made me smile thinking about my mamma who use to color in dolls to make me feel seen, took me to Broadway to see the original Dreamgitl Sheryl Lee Raplh to let me know I belonged.

Am I proud of this event? Sure, 100%. However, I am most proud that I was a part of something that healed hearts, touched spirits, and had the ancestors dancing.

All I can say is that a time was had. See you soon, BBR fam. On to the next adventure.
