A little floral selfie with a bridal bouquet that was sent out this morning.

I realize not everyone has a massive floral budget when getting married, but I offer my “ala carte” option where you can pick what’s most important and invest in those pieces. This bride only needed her bouquet, three bridesmaids, and a floral crown. Others may just need centerpieces for their tables. Whatever it is, I’m love offering smaller offerings to my clients.

These are my very last tulips, Copper Image, I believe and I knew I would regret not designing with them before they left. Even on my dirty garden table.

I’m fascinated by every stage of a tulip especially these as they blow open and change color. Goodbye, Spring. Summer is just about here .

Just got my film back from the Flowers In Focus workshop I attended last week and I think I’m in love with film again.
Photography is just a hobby for me and I love my DSLR, but thanks to these ladies they’ve reintroduced me to film and I’ll be practicing with it some more.
Used my new find, the Canon AE-1 and Kodak Gold 200 film

This year I am choosing to dive deeper into my creative side and see how it affects my artistry. I’ll be practicing more photography and dabbling in pottery as well as continuing to learn from my gardens and growing the flowers I design with.
I took a little walk around my yard to capture the beauty we get from these last winter weeks. Everything is beginning to awaken and then the beauty (and work) begin

The fall garden made up for the summer one. High temps all summer long only brought crazy destructive storms and awful pests, which made gardening difficult here, but thank goodness it rebounded this fall.

Enjoying these Distant Drum roses, scabiosa, basil, terracotta lisianthus, and Sweet Nathalie dahlias. What were your favorites in the gardens this year? Or just to design with?
