Just before Christmas I received a phone call from a gentlemen asking if I could help him with a surprise present for his wife who had been going through some scary health problems and been having a difficult time and he wanted to bring her some joy and light ❤️
This is not something I have done before but the story pulled at my heartstrings and I of course wanted to help.
The tricky part was that it was a surprise so I could never contact him in anyway as his wife managed their phone and he doesn’t have an email. So I waited each month for his phone call to take it to the next step.
He came round my house multiple times, in the midst of madness of my house still being much of a building site with no where to offer him to sit, he didn’t mind at all.
He brought with him a bundle of of old photographs dating back to when they were 16 and first got together, right the way through to recent events and memories. He is now in his 80s I believe.
I loved hearing him talk about all the adventures and memories they had together.
I looked after these photographs, scanned them all in for him and created a photo album keep sake of their life together.
Yesterday he came to collect and he was so happy, and gave me a sweet gift too. I then received a phone call from his wife later on saying how lovely it was. 🥰
Photographs are important, memories are important. Your loved ones are important, share your love for them each day ❤️
Last weekend Lottie and Hugh got married 🎊
Their wedding was a home marquee wedding in Wadenhoe near Peterborough.
Check out the Ceilidh dancing! It was fabulous to watch!

THROWBACK THURSDAY : 2015 WEDDINGS
This was the year I really felt like I was getting into the swing of things business wise and I had some AMAZING weddings-
Aside from actually photographing the day, what I really love is that I get to have so much fun with my couples too! They welcome me into their special days with open arms and that I shall never take for granted.
Some fun facts of 2015:
1) One of these brides gave me her wedding bouquet after the wedding ❤️❤️
2) One of these weddings had me crying during the speeches, (so emotional!) I was spotted and mentioned in the speech 😳🥰
3) At one of these weddings I had a car crash en-route to the reception from the church. The couple never found out and they still don’t know 😉 My husband came to the rescue whilst I was photographing speeches to sort the car out.
4) One of these weddings made me change my own entire wedding plans as I fell in love with the venue. I rang my then fiancé up during dinner and told him it was all changing 🤣
2015 was a wild ride, thank you to all these beautiful people 😍 Great times!!
