Almost ALL of our Picnics so far have been surprises and we LOVE IT

The JOY expressed on the faces and through the body language of the person being surprised is priceless.
The LOVE beaming from the person that planned the surprise is the sweetest!

Some decide to drive up to the Picnic site, some have incorporated blindfolds, and some have set aside time for a "walk in the park" - however you do it is PERFECT.

I get a TON of questions about the location of this setup!

This was one of the photos I used a lot in the beginning to show what Picnics by Fresh was all about, and people LOVE it (and I do too!)

Welp, it's finally time for the answer - this is in our backyard!

Jake and I built this gazebo last summer and one of our best friends officiated our wedding underneath it in June.

A few months later, I set up a fancy table for our cookout that night and Picnics by Fresh was born.

Our backyard is a work in progress, so we're not QUITE ready for Picnics here yet.

Fingers crossed by the end of this summer!

Each and every single Picnic by Fresh includes 2-4+ bottles of lovely Reverse Osmosis filtered H2O, just for you 💯

Hydration is one of the key elements to LIFE - we're not here to mess around 😉

We also make sure you're set up with:

💕 A bluetooth speaker (to set the mood, to jam, to listen to NPR, whatever ya wanna do)

💕 Birthday candles (if you've requested the Birthday Package)

💕 A trash bin (not super glamorous, but SUPER necessary)

Curious about the pineapple thing?

(PLEASE forgive my scratched up and dirty hands - I've been playing in the dirt for a few weeks now working on getting our yard ready for Picnics 😁)

Well, here's the story

In June 2020, I left my corporate 9-5 to start my travel biz,

I absolutely LOVE thrift shopping and making elegant setups for Jake and I when we grill in the summer, and this snowballed into the creation of my Picnic biz!

It took me FOR EV ER to think of what to call it - finally, I decided to make it a spinoff of

My initial plan was to offer region specific Picnics - you know, Italian Picnic in the Countryside, French Dinner on the Riviera, etc.

Now, Picnics by Fresh is an EFFORTLESS way for couples in LOVE to have a stress free date night.

I'll say it again - Best. Job. Ever.

Hello, my Picnic People! I wanna know - how did you meet your person???

Jake I met the summer before senior year of undergrad at an internship in Dearborn (if you're from SE Michigan, betcha can guess where 😉)

We became very close over the summer, decided to meet up in NYC before senior year started, and spent the next 9 months driving 10+ hours/flying back and forth to spend time together 😍

We graduated a week apart and moved to Ann Arbor together - and the rest is history ❤️

I'll add that there's a LOT more to that story but these are the cliff notes 😄

How great is your person, am I right? 😍

I simply LOVE to celebrate my person and I'm always doing all kinds of crazy things to show him how much I adore him 💕

One of these things was a PICNIC that I set up after acquiring some really cool antique dining sets

We love to grill, so I decided to make that night's grill cuisine F A N C Y with my new stuff

And so it began

Food and fanciness and VIEWS and that PERSON - these are what makes a breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner date great ✨

1️⃣. We talk about your person, your favorite colors, your schedule, and your reason for CELEBRATING your PERSON with a PICNIC 💕

2️⃣. I make ALL THE PLANS. I'm talking coordinating your table setup, arranging your food order, pickup, and delivery, setting you up with ALL the delightful ✨ extras ✨ if you've added any, and obsessing over EVERY detail to make sure your setup is perfect for you

✨ I'm talking extras like FLOWERS, BALLOONS, DESSERT, CANDLES, framed PICS OF YOU GUYS and even more!

3️⃣. You arrive with YOUR PERSON to THE MOST adorable date (ALREADY SET UP) and you celebrate your love for each other in an absolutely picturesque setting

4️⃣. You enjoy your date, and when you're done, you leave 💁. I take care of all the cleanup and make sure our Picnic Place is JUST AS or EVEN BETTER than it was before I arrived.

Hi hi hi! My name is Erin, and I am SO GLAD you're here 😁

I started Picnics by Fresh in the fall of 2020 as a side business to my day job, a travel business () that I started that summer!

My dream was to make "travel" happen vicariously through Italian themed lunches and Greek dinners, but Picnics by Fresh quickly became so much more than that.

These Picnics were an ESCAPE.

My Picnic People were always telling me things like

'COVID has killed date night!' and 'We are REALLY struggling to find time for romance!'

And thus, Picnics by Fresh was there to save the day.
