Energize & Rebalance in 2 min!
This is probably the Quickest and most efficient way to energize and rebalance because it includes arching and rounding the spine- encouraging energy flow thru your spine (shushumna energy channel) and throughout your body, while strengthening your arms & core and stretching your core & back. It also stretches your hip flexors, upper & lower calves and includes an inversion (down dog), which is an energizing pose.
I demonstrated 2 here, but feel free to do as many as you'd like .... I usually do 3, 7 or 11 ... depending on how much time I have.

Welcome to another Therapeutic Thursday ๐ Today we are talking about stress...
A common occurrence in our modern world, but not something that has to define us or throw us off of our magical journeys we are on...
When not dealt with, stress can not only negatively impact our mental wellbeing, it can lead to a slew of physical ailments such as fatigue, tension, headaches, gut issues, and can eventually contribute to disease and other more serious health implications.
The good news is, SO MUCH of our well-being and how we navigate stress is in our hands.
We have the freedom to choose what we do with our bodies and our minds in our daily life.
By choosing to take even a short amount of time to devote to wellness practices, we can reduce the negative impacts of stress, and redirect our focus to return to a calm, empowered presence.
Here are some grounding practices you can use to reduce and/or relieve stress...
Body
-Explore breathwork practices, which can be as simple as taking 10 deep breaths.
-Get physical activity like yoga, dancing, running, or swimming.
-Take a hot bath.
-Rest or taking a nap.
-Get a massage or acupuncture.
-Take a walk in nature.
-Use Essential oils or aromatherapy.
-Spend time with a pet.
-Tidy up your home or office space.
Mind
-Meditate.
-Listen to music you love, or discover new artists.
-Acknowledge your feelings, be graceful and kind to yourself as you remember that emotions are temporary.
-Plan ahead and get your thoughts organized.
-Focus on positive life events and all the incredible things you've accomplished.
-Use powerful self talk and affirmations. Our words and thoughts are impactful!
Emotions
-Allow yourself to laugh, cry, scream,...let it out! This is part of being human.
-Express yourself through journaling or creating art.
-Channel your emotions into a hobby such as cooking, gardening, crafting, etc.
-Talk things out with someone you trust. It can be helpful to set the tone of the conversation by letting them know

Therapeutic movements like these not only help relieve tension through stretching, they help distribute nutrients into the disc space, joints and soft tissues in the neck. And of course a regular exercise routine helps improve mobility and strength while reducing the severity and duration of possible future pain in those areas of focus.

Today we're healing shin splints!
As I always say,
๐ค "Give your Body what it needs
and it will heal itself" ๐ค
Shin splints can be irritating and even painful ๐ They could even take you out of the game, off the track, or off the dance floor for a hot minute.
But have no fear - there's an easy solution to get rid of shin splints and also to prevent them from occurring in the future.
