We have a 6-month full-time position available for an experienced manager to cover a maternity leave at Tait Communications in Harewood, Christchurch.

**What You’ll Be Doing:**
- Leading the cafe operations alongside one assistant
- Crafting amazing coffees and preparing delicious food for our clients
- Ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a clean and welcoming cafe environment
- Coordinating and assisting with catering events as needed
- Upholding food safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction

**What We’re Looking For:**
- Proven experience in cafe or catering management
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage day-to-day operations
- Excellent barista skills and a passion for coffee
- Reliable, hardworking, and adaptable attitude
- Ability to work both independently and with your assistant
- Flexibility to adapt to varying hours (Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm, with occasional variations for events)

We’re very excited to be part of this year’s Cyclorama e-bike Festival at https://www.facebook.com/CycloramaNewZealand
one of the four stops on their most popular ride, The Tour de Gourmet. It’s a degustation lunch on e-bikes. Remember the days of progressive potluck dinners? It’s like that but there’s a chef at each stop who will do the cooking – no more chilli con carne to take your head off! I’m afraid I can’t tell you where we’re going to be or exactly what we’re serving – it’s all part of the mystery of the ride! But I can guarantee that our dish (which may use some very special venison…) will certainly be a delicious representation of our region and on theme as befits the ride name.

I do know that each stop is different with two at private properties, and one is at a winery that is in the most stunning location in the area. They’re all easy to get to on the Queenstown trails, plus the riders are given a briefing and a map to help them navigate their way.

You may have seen the Cyclorama signs around the district. You may catch them on TVNZ’s Seven Sharp on Friday night. Or you can turn up at the Festival Village (Butler’s Green, Arrowtown) at Labour Weekend to see what’s going on. There’s more food there as well as a wee pub, the Fork & Tap, live music, and bike retailers.
