My latest D&D character: Sir Charles Alonso Quijano del Taboso. He's a Cavalier. Named Charles. Wants to be King of the Spaniels someday.

Sir Charles is the eldest son born to Sir Rocinante Quijano and Lady Dulcinea Del Taboso. Sir Rocinante ruled his corner of Baille with an Iron Paw, and the young Sir Charles idolized him. Just prior to his sixth birthday, Sir Rocinante was brutally slain in single combat by the dishonorable warlord Sir Richard Friston. Upon seeing his father struck down, Sir Charles fled Baille, vowing to return and declare vengeance upon The Pretender.

Charles uses very flowery prose and always greets newcomers with the highest politeness. He considers his stretching of the truth to be proper form for a Knight Errant. Even though Baille has neither Knights nor true nobility. He intends to change that when he returns home in glory and unites the kingdom. It is useless to point out inconsistencies and his flagrant disregard for reality.

Character based on puns (Homebrew dog-hybrid race & Fighter- Cavalier, so he must be a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel), Don Quixote, and King Henry VII (Tudor) of England. I have shuffled names around, mostly for the fun of it. This is going to be my first Fighter, so I'm looking forward to Sir Charles and his noble steed Sancho Panza.

Book nerd problems: I just finished a fantasy novel based in Arab culture, listening to a fantasy Audiobook with influences of Native American culture, and started a new fantasy novel with influences from Russian culture... My brain keeps jumping back and forth... And given the waitlists for the sequels, it will continue jumping.
