The South Lawn was transformed into an awe-inspiring celebration marking a historic first in White House events. .
A custom-built clear tent, ingeniously designed to fully enclose the iconic 72-ft South Lawn fountain, created an elegant, panoramic guest experience offering uninterrupted views of the White House illuminated against the night sky. .
Inside, stunning floral artistry featured a garden of roses planted around the fountain, while grand chandeliers hung overhead, casting a soft glow over beautifully set tables adorned with blush and pastel arrangements. .
From the meticulous design to the flawless ex*****on, every element came together to create a masterpiece of innovation and artistry. .
Following dinner guests took to the dance floor and danced the night away under the twinkling stars..

🍽️ The State Dining Room: Designed in collaboration with and - this room features handcrafted paper chain garlands, created by military families as part of the Joining Forces initiative, symbolizing the strength found in service and community. Ornaments crafted by children across the country add a joyful spirit of peace and inclusion..
🎁The Red Room: In collaboration with this space features illuminated boxes with 46 holes symbolizing the 46th president, while white paper doves carry messages of peace. Drawings from children nationwide add a sense of hope and reflection..
🎄 The Cross Hall: Designed alongside - this space features doves representing peace and love suspended in a cascade of light. Christmas trees adorned with red and green plaid and a charming vintage red truck complete this nostalgic and serene scene..

This holiday season, the White House celebrates “A Season of Peace and Light,” and Rafanelli Events is honored to have collaborated with First Lady Dr. Jill Biden to bring her vision to life. Under the creative direction of Bryan Rafanelli, we worked alongside a talented team to craft spaces that inspire unity, reflection, and joy..
Guests are welcomed into the East Wing beneath a dazzling starlit ceiling, symbolizing the guiding light of the North Star. The Gold Star Tree, dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of service members and their families, shines brightly with ornaments inscribed with the names of fallen heroes. In the Blue Room, the official White House Christmas Tree dazzles with the whimsical Carousel of Light, celebrating the joy and magic of the holiday season..
“Designing for the White House is an honor unlike any other. Every detail, from the peaceful sound of bells in the East Colonnade to the doves of peace in the Cross Hall, was chosen to tell a story of unity and hope,” says Bryan Rafanelli..
This incredible project would not have been possible without the dedication and creativity of our team, the passion and expertise of our extraordinary vendor partners, and the tireless efforts of more than 300 volunteers from across the country who gave their time to bring this vision to life. The 25th annual Storybook Ball was a night to remember as we celebrated 25 years of raising vital funds for Mass General for Children..
The entire design for evening was inspired by the beloved book Corduroy, and every detail captured the heart of its message. From the department store theme during cocktail hour to the creative incorporation of needle and thread, pin cushions, and fluffy cotton batting paired with florals to the interactive carnival style games and delightfully placed bears throughout the event space. The event beautifully mirrored the story’s lesson on belonging, warmth, and love..
Corduroy teaches us that friendship extends beyond its conventional forms — and that comfort and acceptance can be found in the most unexpected places. Just as the teddy bear found a home and a friend, continues to provide comfort and a sense of belonging to families facing complex medical challenges.
