Reminder that this Rope Basics class will be happening at 2 PM at the Austin Eagle, today, Sat Dec 21!

We suggest bringing warm clothes as the lesson will be held in the patio, and to bring a mat or blanket to tie on!

Be sure to bring your ropes (and a weighted bag to practice up-lines if you're just starting suspensions) and a mat or towel to lie on to work your ropes.

We'll start off with a bit of warming up and intros, but the floor is all yours afterwards!

New to rope? We can get you started!

Not male-identifying? Not a problem! To encourage our safe space, bring a male-identifying sub to tie or tie on yourself! We are here for everyone.

About our panelists--the model :

Arby (he/him) started rope in 2020. Once the world calmed down, Arby dove deeper and developed his practice, primarily as a rope bottom. Since then, he's joined several Boston-based groups; helped start ‘Bondage N Boston;' performed live demonstrations; facilitated workshops; and attended conferences, including NARIX. As a q***r man who bottoms in rope, Arby aims to bring visibility to men who want to be tied and encourage others to do so too.

We have a Rope Jam coming up Nov 21 at 8 PM!

It's a rope play focused play party, where we turn some music on and let folks have at it on the mats. So bring your rope, dress down/sexy, and bring things to clean up. :P

First 15 minutes to meet, negotiate and partner up, then you can do the same off of the mats throughout the rest of the night.

1) Rope lab is not this Wednesday but next Wednesday (11/13/2024) from 7-9 PM

2) Got another rope jam that'll happen on 11/21/2024 from 8-11 PM.

3) Boston master rigger Mr R will be giving a class on 12/12/2024 from 8-10 PM on transitioning ties (floor work with a closing partial)

The above is a link that has an online class by the world renowned Naka Akira on rope photography and his methods. The event happens at 3 AM on Sat Nov 9.

If you would like to do a group showing, The Eagle is willing to stay open late for us to gather around, watch this, play with ropes, and have essentially a sleep over without sleep. Hahaha.
