BELATED POST-MORTEM: Rick Derringer/The Standells/Play With Fire all turned in spirited performances at the beautiful Palace Theater in downtown L.A., despite a few sound problems. The enthusiastic crowd thrilled to performances of "Dirty Water," "Try It," and "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White" by The Standells and "Rock & Roll Hootchie Koo," "Still Alive and Well," and "Frankenstein" from Rick Derringer (and a lot more besides)! Play With Fire, in their first gig ever, were very well received as well! STAY TUNED for news of the next Avalon Brothers Promotions event, and BE THERE!!!

Local band Play With Fire opens the show for Rick Derringer and The Standells on June 3, 2017. Their music, a modern blend of R&B, rock, and reggae (with a few jazz sensibilities thrown in to make things interesting), walks their listeners through several eras and musical styles. Strong musicianship and soaring vocals with a horn section -- that's Play With Fire.
