Colonial Yacht Club Lighted Boat Parade

Sponsored by the Colonial Yacht Club, the Lighted Boat Parade for 2023 show cased some fantastic decorations. This year, 2024, we are going to make a departure from past parades and show case many more boats. Boaters and spectators should mark their calendars.

Boats will gather at 4:30 PM at buoy 2 on the Potomac River, just outside CB. At 5:00 the boat parade will start and proceed to the town pier, to arrive at 5:15, then continue to past 12th street. There the boats will turn and proceed back to Monroe Bay. An after party will start at Dockside at 7:00, when the awards are announced. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in four categories: Yacht 35+', Cruiser

Santa's Wonderland & Winter Festival Parade

Experience the enchantment of the holiday season at Santa's Wonderland & Winter Festival Parade in Colonial Beach! Town Hill, located at the corner of Colonial and Washington Avenues, transforms into a magical Christmas wonderland adorned with twinkling lights, festive Christmas trees, whimsical elves, and cheerful snowmen. The festivities kick off with a procession of beautifully decorated cars, golf carts, and floats, all leading up to the grand entrance of everyone's favorite jolly old soul – Santa Claus himself!

Get ready for a holly, jolly time filled with delightful activities. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, decorate scrumptious cookies, create holiday-themed arts and crafts, cozy up by the fire pit, and let the melodies of Christmas music fill the air. Explore vendor tents for unique gifts and indulge in delicious treats. Don't miss your chance to write heartfelt letters to Santa and, of course, have your picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, spreading holiday cheer to kids and kids-at-heart alike.
