Looking back recently to when I started face painting in 2011. I've improved a lot since then 🤣 but it's been a lot of hard work. Practising sponge work, line work, placement of colours and designs on paper, then on my family. Not to mention confidence building, customer service, how to deal with wriggly children. Then there's Website design, health & safety, marketing, business, tax returns, social media - So yeah I've come a long way, learnt a lot, still learning and still love it! Being a makeup artist for 19 years has definitely helped though.

The question I get asked a lot is... How many faces can you paint in 2 hours?

I can paint 20 faces in 2 hours. To get the best results without rushing the children, I recommend more time if your party consists of more than 20, otherwise the designs will be reduced to enable me to paint everyone within the time limit.

Flowers inspire me a lot in my work, and I love using variations of colour, swirls and of course plenty of chunky and fine glitters for embellishments.

Found this old photo of when I first started face painting in 2011. I wanted some light hearted fun in my career as a makeup artist, so I tried Face Painting! Just a few paints, some glitter and a floral headband 🤣 Then I teamed up with my sister for a few years and had the best and funniest times painting at family fun days. That's why I love it - it always makes people happy.

This is one of my favourite designs, as it now only takes me about 3 minutes to do. Kids and adults love it as it's not in the eyes or near the mouth. Easy
