Songs From A Room offers artists and music fans the unique opportunity to perform and experience intimate gigs in packed living rooms. During the acts nobody talks, everyone listens - creating the most intimate and spellbinding atmosphere. The movement is now going global with shows happening in more than 280 cities including, New York, Paris, Buenos Aires, Austin, Mexico City, Berlin, San Francisco and many more. Overview
Songs From a Room began in March 2009 in the living room of singer songwriter and co-founder Passion Ate Dave in London. It is an innovative concept, dedicated to bringing the best of new music to an unplugged, intimate, unusual space or venue. Mix in a crowd of dedicated music lovers, other artists, and industry professionals, and you have an evening which promises electric performances and new networks.

For the last fifty-two years, each October has been the key period for Black history in the UK. As we celebrate this October, we’ve pulled together a selection of songs from some of our favourite Black artists. 🎶 A mixture of buoyant afrobeats, smooth vocal storytelling, and R&B fused rap, our Black Voices playlist features standout tracks from Karim Kamar, DEJA, Nnena and more. ✨

We recently caught up with artist, Craft-D and he shared his thoughts on why he loves performing with us.

"I like the intimacy of a Sofar Sounds gig. Being able to connect to a small number of people to have a high level of focus and attention on the acoustic music. I always really enjoy the vibe and that’s probably what keeps bringing me back.

It feels like a fun and safe space to try new material, to do something a little bit different and yeah music is all about connection for me and a smaller room and a small number of people has a more powerful connection and that’s the palpable thing that you feel throughout a Sofar Sounds event." ~ Craft-D
