Thanks Governor Wes Moore for signing my bill into law. HB976 creates a powerful tool to improve indoor air quality in our homes and will result in statewide standards for mold assessments and remediation. I’m so grateful for the families and advocates who came to the MGA year after year to testify in support of this bill. Special thank you to Green & Healthy Homes Initiative Maryland Legal Aid for providing support and expert testimony & analysis for this bill. Thank you to my entire team past and present for helping me respond to the voices of families struggling with mold in their homes. I am incredibly proud of this work.
